Just destroy SIM and sell note 7 and rebut a clean one from swappa... if you ever accidentally swapped sim cards in the future you WILL LOSE UDP... I've got 2 phones and I sometimes swap sims to trouble shoot or if you send a phone in because you cracked your screen a year from now I would hate for you to lose UDP because you forgot about the SIM swap issue... I wouldn't even want that phone at my house if you know what I mean

Thank you very much, I thought about selling it but you're taking a chance there too, always things could go wrong, buyer wants to return it that type of thing. So I think I'll take my chances with the SIM swapping, I switch phones a lot and probably will be selling it in a couple months anyway.

Thank you so much for confirming what I needed to know! Slick deals post was totally confusing the heck out of me> I picked up my note 7 from airport short while ago (missed my FedEx driver earlier) going to give it a go here pretty quick and Will report back.

And happy to report I did the switch. Everything looks good so far, contract extended out two years, still have unlimited on both lines. Pending activation on line 2, which I know should fall off in a month or so...won't be calling in to Verizon help or doing any switching of phones and as long as I don't screw up somewhere else looks like I'm good , fingers crossed.

So far so good on my Snkydvl and swap. I swapped phones last night. Contract was extended on the unlimited line. No data on basic line. So far looks like I am still locked in at $29.99. I will report back after my next billing cycle.

I was thinking my wife and I could both do the BBM and swap new s7 phones. We each have our own accounts with UDP 29.99 and my contract ends Sept 1, 2016; hers shortly after. However, I went on BB site and it told me I had to buy the phone outright/24month plan, or I could wait until on or after sept 1 to get a discounted upgrade.
I fear that if I wait until 9/1, my UDP 29.99 will become 49.99. That would make the BBM completely unnecessary given what I've recently read with upgrades on UDP 49.99 lines.

Is there any way to lock ourselves into another 2-yr contract to keep the UDP 29.99, and upgrade?

If so he should be able to upgrade this Thursday. I don't have another upgrade (3 lines) until Nov, but will pay attention.

You need to get a subsidized phone when you can (hearing a week before your eligibility), destroy the SIM card that comes with that phone. Then do anything you want with it (sell, give away, destroy) but never ever activate it on that line or you will lose your UDP.

If all you want to do is extend your contact you might be able to find a phone for a penny or something like that when the time comes.

No, don't put the sim from your udp line or you will lose udp
