iphone8 vs Note 8 Change of mind!!!

Well the only things you usually change your phone is their looks, by downloading some themes. Thats it. And believe me the theme of apple is so much better than any of those themes. So really it doesn't make that difference. I prefer high performance, camera, and simpler and exciting features (such as face recognition) on a phone than what theme I have put on my phone. How many times do you stare at those themes? You usually spend most of the time on your phone within an app.

The note 8 has a good camera and has good performance. It also has face recognition.

The note 8 is more exciting that the iPhone 8 to me. Tons more features.

There's nothing to see in iOS 11 for the iPhone. All the updates went to the iPad this year.

And that for me is the key. While hardware is a definite decision factor in purchasing a device we interact with the software. And Apple has failed for me at least to add any useful changes to their software. It's always the same old stuff.

Honestly I like the iWatch Series 3 with cellular. I like the idea that it's using your one cell phone number on your iPhone and can go out without the phone and still take calls. That would be convenient for me as a runner and be able to just take the watch with me instead of lugging a phone and not needing a separate cell number. Hope they can do that with Android phones.

I had the gear S2 with its own phone number and integrated GPS. It was cool I guess but the battery life sucked and I never once used the features. It was an extra $5 a month. So it's available if you really want it with android.

Extra $5 that's it? guess I didn't research it as much as I should have. I do a lot of running and don't like the idea of running with the Note and prepared to use my iPhone 6s for runs and just swap SIMS. I'll have to look into it. If only Garmin will sell a cellular watch that can tie in to current cell number like that. Aftermarket needs to step up more.

Samsung already does it with their phones. Gear S2 and Gear S3 watches.

A dedicated GPU for Deep Learning processing. The simplicity and the high performance of iphone10. Note 8 now seems like an year old phone to me. Apple may do it late, but they do it the best.

What the frack is Deep Learning processing? Does it ask questions like To be or not to be?

It's easy to optimize boring.

Cool... so Gear S2 has cellular using same telephone number as your cell phone? Curious to how much it costs for the service? I never really researched it because I always thought two separate numbers. They should have really advertised that feature.

On my Gear S3 T-Mobile, service is $5 a month.

This was underwhelming. If you wanted a Samsung S8 knockoff with a more expensive price tag, by all means head over to Apple and grab yourself one and think you're being "revolutionary". The only thing remotely new is the improved FaceID and Animoji. Everything else has been introduced by Samsung. Only a Iphone user will he so excited for Animoji and think that alone worth the price tag. There is not much you have to do to put a smile in a Iphone user face.

Would Samsung give Apple a better display? I doubt it very much. Anyhow we already know what the note 8 has a higher ppi than the iPhone X even though the iPhone X has a smaller display.

They haven't really shown that the facial ID is any better than the one on the note 8 and even so iris scanning is more secure and more accurate than facial recognition.

Apple's face ID cannot distinguish between identical twins Apple admitted this during the keynote today. Yet iris scanning can.

The A11 will be better than the snapdragon 835 but everything else the note 8 will be better.
