Is there any lag on the HTC One (M8)?

Re: Is there any lag on the M8?

I have over 150 apps installed, 5 screens, with 6 folders, 10 widgets and the rest icons.

No lag at all. Its really amazing. Even when switching between 6 diff apps, it works flawlessly!!

Re: Is there any lag on the M8?

The most lag-free phone I've ever held. Even though the S5 is fast, it feels slow after you've used an M8.

Re: Is there any lag on the M8?

None. Not a bit. I've had it for about a week and it's buttery smooth. Impressive, in my opinion, over the laggy S4 I previously used.

No lag or stutter for me on the M8, I love it. I can't believe a skinned Android phone is this quick.

Re: Is there any lag on the M8?

The only quirk/lag/bug I found is the delay for double tapping the screen to wake it. Other than that, there seems to be nothing wrong with the software.

NO lag at all...Just ridiculously quick. Fastest phone I have owned (and like some here..i have had them all). Next fastest for me was the M7....then the iPhone 5s/G2..

Ditto. Other than this, I haven't had the slightest lag on anything. I love this phone.

Re: Is there any lag on the M8?

Wow, that is awesome. I am really impressed that NO ONE mentioned lag where several people did when I asked this about the GS5. I went back to the Verizon store today and played with both of them. I guess I didn't notice lag before on the GS5 because it seems quite fast, but then when I did the same thing with the M8 it was instantaneous. I tried to make them lag and opened up a bunch of apps and switched back and forth between them and was really amazed how the M8 didn't hiccup at all. I think I may be leaning toward this phone now. The camera doesn't seem that bad, and while I do not like that it is taller, it is not that big of a deal as long as it isn't wider. The other thing I thought I might not like is no dedicated home button but maybe that isn't that big of a deal either. And as long as the battery lasts all day and will last for 2 years, it should be fine. I think I'll go back one more time to play with them again and order one soon because after playing with both of these, I can not see how I am getting by with my slow phone now! It is still a tough choice between these two, especially since I keep my phones for 2 years. Thanks for the input.

No lag on my M8. The phone is extremely smooth and the UI does not stutter at all.

Smoothest phone i have ever used. The stock internet app could load gifs properly though. But Chrome runs gif smoothly (of course depends on internet connection).

It feels even faster if you put animations on 0.5x (or just turn them off)

I have used a lot of android recent flagship phones. As well as just about every current Apple device. The M8 is the fastest device I have ever used. Good luck if you can make it lag. Butttttter smooth.

No lag whatsoever. Reviewers even say that it's smoother than the Nexus 5.

That's a tough one. I'd still say the Nexus 5, but the difference between the two is negligible. Love both of them and have my Nexus 5 for when the next Android version comes this year.

Agreed. That's what I've been saying. Certain thongs such as opening recent apps and waking the device(with power button) on the m8 are just a bit slower. Those are the two major things for me. Also loading widgets is a hair slower. Other than that, the phone is just about smooth as can be.

Re: Is there any lag on the M8?

I had zero lag until I installed the new Verizon update. Now it lags like it has Touchwiz. Really disappointing.

Re: Is there any lag on the M8?

Lol, no problems here after Verizon update.
