so was on a call tonight and wanted to send a pic to my friend who was buying something for me and couldn't use cam while on a call. kinda wack as he was on speaker while at home. either an update or straight root is that the only options other then living with it?

Anyone else have an issue with screen response when you wake the phone? If I hit the power button, about one out of three times the screen lights up but won't register any touch input for 3 to maybe 8 seconds. The capacitive menu and back keys don't light up until the same time as touch input begins to work. In almost all occurrences if I hit the power button twice to turn the screen off and back on it works like it should.
LOL...I think the phone is damn sexy! Got it for my wife in white. However....I didn't see enough for me to upgrade from my 2 year old Epic 4G with keyboard. I love the keyboard. Don't see how I can do without. With that said...I allowed someone else in my family shared plan to leap-frog me in upgrade using mine. Guess I'm not the only one around that didn't see enough from this phone to deem it upgrade-worthy.
I think I'll be waiting until next year....or even 2 years...just how much I like my Epic still.
When you try the hand swipe, instead of using your open hand, make a fist and swipe it across the screen...I've seen that work pretty well!!
Is anyone having issues with lag after recording a video? I recorded SMS friendly videos of about 5 seconds, and there is a huge lag (sometimes having to force close) before being able to either A) view the video, or B) switch back to still camera.

You have to turn ON palm swipe for screen capture feature...
Settings> Motion> Palm Swipe to Capture (check box)
Made a seperate thread for this before I realized there was an issues thread. I upgraded from an Epic 4g and have only one issue, but it is pretty annoying. Here is my original post:

About once a day when I try and make a call, it will go to a fast busy, then just stick there. I don't know if the fast busy is a network problem or whatever, but I got it on my old phone but it would just do it for a second and I could end the call, no other issues. On this phone, the phone app ends on it's own when it gets the fast busy (as in I don't press "end call"), the phone is working fine, but if you hold it up to your ear it still has the fast busy. I can make other calls and talk to the person, all while the fast busy is just beeping away in my ear, the other party does not hear it. The only way to get rid of it I have found so far is to reset the phone.
Anybody else having this issue? It really does not seem like a hardware issue, more of a network or firmware issue, but I would be interested to know if anybody else has experienced this? If not, I may try to swap my phone out."

I have a green notification light that wont go out when the phone is in lock mode... How do I turn it off ?

Yeah I am still very temped by that HD screen tho. My main concern is that the Mali 400 gpu in the sgs2 still may be better than then Adreno 225. I do have an upgrade waiting to be used then I'll have my own line open again next year November. Currently have the SGS2 epic touch. We will see tho if Best buy would have done e price match last night for $150 I would have it right now and not looked back!
ok so i got my phone...LOVE IT so far...i do have a question thats not really an issue. when i connect it to the charger the LED doesn't light up red unless the screen is dark or not awake. Ive checked the settings and it is checked for it to be lit when its charging. And when i wake up or unlock the screen then the LED light goes off. Is this how it is on everyones? am i missing something?

SwiftKey is hands down the best keyboard. The reviews show proof of this. If you haven't used it, then you need too.

I don' think it is that well known since I can't find anything else about it anywhere. My epic never did this, I have always gotten the fast busy from time to time on every phone I ever had, but it wouldn't stick like this.
i don't have any issues as of yet...love my phone. but otterbox seriously needs to release the defender case already. not even 24 hours with my precious (lol) and i already dropped it. FML. thank god i had a body glove case in the mean time so my phone is ok no damage/scratches/nicks whatsoever. but still...my heart almost came out my throat 
My S3 does this as well, it dont think its a problem with the phone though. I believe thats the way it was suppose to be
