From reading the thread it seems like a lot of people have gone through a few phones - does getting a new phone actually work?
I live just a little west of you. I am on my second phone, first returned for screen issues. No trouble at all with call quality on either phone.
So there is hope.
I don't think it has to do with hardware. Something is wrong with our accounts which is causing the issue. This is the reason why there was at least one person reporting the issue first on a g2 and then subsequently on a note 3. I put my gf's SIM in my g2, and viola, the call quality was perfect. I tried replacing numerous SIM's with no luck. For those who want to try my theory, swap someone else's SIM (who is not on your account) into your phone and see what happens.

Have you mentioned your findings to Verizon? If so, do they have any suggestions, such as can they delete your account and start over with a fresh one or something like that?
Forgive my phone technology stupidity, but if I used the old SIM card from my old smartphone would that possibly work? Or is that SIM card "deactivated" or too old of technology (I had 4LTE) to work with the new phone?
Well, I finally threw in the towel... ended up returning the lovely G2 because of this calling issue. Went back to my old slow motoRAZR - but I will keep checking this site hoping they find a fix soon. I hope people keep updating the thread! Because I was in the 14 day period I ended up getting all money back except the $35 restocking fee. The rep I spoke with at the store said to call support and explain the issue - he seemed to think because the phone is defective they may even reimburse me for the restocking fee (not holding my breath). Best of luck to you guys!
I have but customer service (*611) brushes off my theory. I'm going to get more aggressive and go in store today to demonstrate my findings. I'll have them try exactly what you suggested about somehow deleting or resetting my account and I'll post an update.
