For the most the G2x works pretty well, i dont seem to have any "major" issues. I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

When i enable wifi it connects fine to any wireless connection but the phone slows down to a crawl. The screens take forever to switch the captivate buttons are non-responsive i basically have to remove the battery. So ive just been using the phone completely without wifi.....

any advice would help.

I know this may not be any real help to you because I had my phone for a whole 15 minutes before I rooted it and installed a custom ROM. That being said I have not had an issue like this with any of the ROMs I have run. If you are runing stock, have you tried conacting T-Mobile about it yet? I'm not sure what their support is like since I have only just switched from Sprint 2 weeks ago and haven't had the need to speak with them yet.

My G2x only "slows to a crawl" when I've left it on for several consecutive days. I find that if I reboot the phone once a day (usually before I go to bed or first thing when I wake up) then I get consistently fast performance all day with no lag. WiFi doesn't have any impact on my performance at all.

I'm running stock GB (but rooted) and I generally don't reboot the phone unless it starts lagging. I've not had any problems like you're describing with wifi, or when using it as a wifi hotspot.

Well I returned the phone. I just couldn't handle it any more, thanks for all your help.

I can attest that flashing CWM, flashing a new ROM (Weapon G2x), and using Tasker to keep my wifi/other radios on/off when appropriate, has all had an enormous affect on my phone. Battery lasts all day with about 20% left over at bed time, and I don't have to pull the battery two or three times a day. In fact, I haven't pulled the battery since I flashed Weapon, about three weeks ago. I reboot every other day or so, but no battery pulls to force restart.

Yeeha!
