I hope you guys who are having problems are reporting it on the Moto forum if you're part of the soak test.
The problem with pressing the Home button doing funky stuff is a bug the Droids are having with Kit Kat. You shouldn't contact the Nova developer about it because it needs to be addressed by Moto.
Tap to pay works but you have to enable NFC first. I did my first tapping to paying to buy some gas. Woohoo!

I cannot get my tap and pay to work. I set up PayPal on my phone but when I go back to settings, tap and pay I am still getting the Learn More screen.

In camera mode, try holding your finger in the middle of the screen then dragging it up/down or left/right. Should adjust the white balance. This is also a feature on the moto x. I believe there is a demo video floating out there somewhere.

THe basic thing I've noticed is that you can drag a control to a focus point (which is also used for white balance calculation). So, if you are taking a backlit photo, you can drag the control to the person in the photo and it will brighten the photo.




I'd say go into settings->apps, find QuickOffice and tap it, and look for a button that says "clear defaults".

That was one of the issues I had with the phone was the light handling indoors. I ended up with a lot of dark photos.

It isn't clear what happened. The soak test private forum never materialized. I got a link to it, and it 403'd. Shortly after, Verizon tweeted everyone is getting KitKat. It's almost like they decided to skip the soak test at the last minute. I wish Moto would say that officially so everyone knows if the NDA is null now. People are openly discussing the update in the public Motorola forums so odds are the soak test never happened. Maybe someone hit the wrong publish button...

Ah ha! No, I did not. I do now. And the key is to gently move the circle without really tapping or else ... multiple pictures! Thank you!

My tap and pay is working for both Google Wallet and Isis Wallet. If you have not set up Isis Wallet yet, do so before Jan. 1 for a $50 credit into your account.

When you open the camera, a new control (a green circle with a rectangle in the middle) appears on the camera live display. You can tap and drag that to focus on what you want rather than have the camera app guess. It also bases the auto white balance based on that. You have to turn on the "Control focus and exposure" in the camera settings (mine was on by default, probably because I had tap-to-focus on before the update.)

Hmm.. it appears I had already started to set up Isis, so no credit yet. Do you have to setup American Express Serve, too? I am not keen on paying $1 a month for tap and pay that i can hardly use around here.
