I've got a Nexus 6P here, lets get some questions going!

What kind of storage did the phone have when first booting up? For example, if you bought a 64GB model, how much was used up by the system? Not a very important question, I know, but you have done such a great job at answering every other question so far!

I would like to know that this is the stabilizer EIS in the video recording, I understand that the 6P at least have that kind of stabilizer for video recording and if so, works for photos, videos 1080p and 4k both.

I was hoping sensor hub would mean ambient display finally matched the performance of moto display. However, I've read some say it is still really iffy on the 5X. How is it on the 6P?

I'm dying to know if those front facing stereo speakers are worth an upgrade from my One Max.

I'd love to get a new phone and have been waiting for HTC to release a successor to the Max but it looks like that day will never come at this point and I haven't come across any other phone that is on par with the volume and quality of the Max's speakers.

Is the Nexus 6P up to par, or should I keep waiting a bit longer?

I'm a nut for speed, fluidity and smoothness.

1. How fast/smooth is the 6P compared to other high-end Android flagships? Just as fast? Faster? Slower? I'm talking about doing basic things like navigating the UI, Browsing on Chrome, going through apps on the multi-tasker, the time it takes for the keyboard to load up etc.

2. How many finger prints can you store on the phone (sorry if this has been asked already). I'm hoping you can store at least two (left and right index fingers).

3. Have you noticed any lag or stutter on the phone that disturbed what you were doing? By this I mean a keyboard that didn't load up right away, an app that was hanging before opening up, applications constantly having to reload when opened from the multi-tasker etc.

Thanks for doing this Russell. Really appreciate it.

How is the always listening Google Voice working? Any problems with it? Also the NFC sensor as I understand it is just above the Nexus imprint has there been any problem using it with a case on?

Thanks for doing this it has answered a lot of my questions.

I'm anxiously waiting for the unit I preordered on ebay, an expensive birthday gift for myself.

If you lay the phone flat on the table- how big is the rear camera bulge gap?
What are the dimensions of the black area?

Hi, I'm only halfway through the thread so I don't know if this has been asked yet. Since you are on Verizon, have you or could you test the signal strength between this and some other phones like a Samsung or Motorola? Since this is most people's first experience with a Huawei device, the radios/signal stregnth is a bit of an unknown. Thanks.

On AT&T my signal has been just as good as other phones in the house on my Huawei Ascend Mate 2. Other phones being Samsung Note 4, LG G3, Moto G 2015.

Reviewers are saying that speakers are very loud, clear but not as deep as boom sound.

I read and article where a Huawei phone was put up against a Samsung and an LG, and did better than both of them I'm terms of signal and network speed. Still it's be nice to see if this particular phone is as good, especially with a CDMA network since I don't recall them ever producing a phone with CDMA capability.

They said the same thing about the moto x pure front facing speakers and they were AWESOME when I received the device. I'm hoping the speakers on the 6P are at least as good as the moto x pure. It could play fairly loud with 0 distortion. It was too loud in some circumstances. I never had to configure each sound option individually before, I usually leave notifications, system and Ringtone at the max, but with the x pure I had to turn system down as well as notifications.

Ok, I'll try another one as my previous question did not get a reply.
Does it get hot while being used? I heard that the 810s had some issues with heat and given the metal body it should sink it so that the touch can easily distinguish the heat. If so, is the heat just noticable or holding one in your hand feels like it ran on nuclear decay?

The overheating issue with the 810 was fixed. Of course since it's metal it will get warmer than a plastic phone. We have seen phones with the 2.1 version of the 810 and not have issues.

Does the nexus 6p support miracast? Or any way to display the screen without needing internet connected wifi... Chromecast will not work for my needs.
