So lucky. It's interesting that I am also in SoCal and ordered the 32GB black with 2 Day shipping and I Ordered within 10 min of launch and have yet to receive a tracking number. Did you ship by date state the 5th?

received email on the 1st that it had shipped, would arrive on the 5th!!

It's now the 4th and the status is still "Shipping Label Created: Ready for UPS".

Yes, my "ship by" date was the 5th.

Does UPS do not transfer parcels from one place to another during weekends? or to put in another way, do the UPS parcels move during weekends?, I'm not asking about delivery or pickup but the movement of parcels from one place to other. In my country the parcels are being moved from one place to another even on weekends but they don't deliver on Sundays.

I'm asking this because lot of people complaining about their UPS packages(Nexus 5) aren't being updated on the tracking page, is it because of the weekend holidays to the office staff or even the UPS truck drivers(those who drive long routes not the ones who deliver within the city) also get holidays on weekends.

The shipping company works through the weekend just not the tracking department. The tracking info is always updated on business days. On Sundays no tracking info us updated and for me Saturday as well.

Yeah i ordered about 13 mins after launch then that night at 11:30 pm got a tracking number.

I signed up for UPS text messaging updates and was fooled into thinking my Nexus 5 was at a nearby facility.
Here is my most recent tracking on a first hour order, 3 to 5 day shipping, to So. Cal.

Still scheduled for Thursday.
Oh well, just have to wait out the week.

Exact same situation here. So cal shipping thursday and it is currently in Kansas city. Our phones are on a road trip together

I have order from Playstore before.

So all this information can't used as reference at all to anyone else.
If you preorder day one and on the hour for the 2012 Nexus 7 the you know the shipping process has lot of inconsistency between individual orders.

Patience's is the key and that your nexus will arrive when it arrives.

Again for thoughs who are changing the shipping process for pickup from your local shipping facility you do know you will have to pickup the day after your delivery date because of processing except for fedex.

They have kept it on the same place for two days both Saturday & Sunday, never seen any courier service to do that, that's why I asked how UPS works.

My tracking number finally appeared in the system yesterday afternoon (I received the shipping notification from Google Play on Saturday morning). Despite the fact that yesterday was November 3, the UPS website stated that the label was printed on November 4 - I guess UPS figured out time travel! I'm still getting the "Order Procesed: Ready for UPS" message, with a scheduled delivery date of November 6. I have a feeling that opting for 2-day shipping was an exercise in futility!
