'I've Ordered a Nexus 5' Thread! (Order & Shipping Discussion)

So anyone order recently and have an indication of whether that 2-3 week number is accurate? I got a 5, then sold it because the battery life wasn't good, but after reading the Droid Life review I decided to order another one. (Since he used it for a while, and said the battery life definitely improved) That and I got a moto x and realized how much I miss stock android, but want it on a 1080p screen.

My relatives are bringing this phone for me and they have their flight on same day. So any has received their N5 earlier than scheduled delivery date?

My 32GB black has finally shipped. Nov 8th order. I checked the status last night and nothing had changed....still scheduled to leave the warehouse by Dec 11th. Woke up this morning to an email saying it had shipped. Apparently the order was processed early on the 26th (yesterday) and shipped out. No clue why my order status wasn't updated by the end of yesterday. Shipping was upgraded to overnight and it is scheduled to be delivered today.

I hope everyone else that is still waiting receives similar good news in the next day or so!

Congrats, timhow Good patience building exercise, huh? Hopefully mine will be delivered today; ordered on 11/3. Heading out on work travel again on Monday until Dec 21, and would be good to have the phone!

I don't know how recent you're talking, but I ordered mine (Black-32GB) on the 22nd and it shipped this morning. So it seems hit or miss as far as how accurate the timeframe is, but for me it was 5 business days earlier than their estimated ship date.

I got my Shipping Notification for my black 32GB Nexus 5 (ordered six days ago on 21 Nov) this morning. They apparently upgraded the shipping from 2 day to overnight. It's out for delivery.

Yeah they must be! Totally shocked to wake up to the shipping notice since Google said it wasn't supposed to ship until December 11th.

Crappy part is the news about the Moto X cyber Monday deal. Totally would take advantage of it if I could.

Received the phone this afternoon; 24 days after I ordered. Immediately installed the glass screen protector, case, and rebooted into ART mode. Fresh install of all my apps and I'm up and running! Been playing around with the phone for a few hours and LOVE it! Coming from the GS3, I like the keyboard on the N5 much better, and it's more intuitive in spelling.

The camera is GREAT! I've taken a couple dozen pictures, many in low light and with HDR+, and the pictures seem to be better than my GS3, IMO. Time will tell, but I took thousands of pictures with my GS3 over the last couple of years, and the differences were immediately noticeable. Less prone to motion blur, better HDR, less grain in low light. The shutter is a lot slower (soon to be fixed in a update I'd expect) but the OIS is very welcome. Time will tell.... I'm on a new phone high

And this phone is absolutely lightning fast. I played with the Moto-X a bit, but the lure of Pure Android experience through Google with immediate access to updates is a major advantage, IMO. I've had no issues at all in ART mode.

After a year with my beloved Nokia Lumia 820 I was frustrated because I could not get google services (besides in browser) on my phone and I need them desperately.

I am loathe to leave my 820 cause I thoroughly love it but when I saw that sleek Nexus 5 in white (32GB) for only 399€, I was kinda miffed I did not wait a year longer to get a new phone.

And then I ordered it on Tuesday and decided I would keep the Lumia for now for the offline maps.

Yesterday evening I got the shipping info. Its already on its way and will arrive tomorrow.

I am a total android noob so lets see how that works out.
