When ordering, do you specify which carrier? I didn't see this option in the Google Store.

I'm with Sprint, and I want to make sure I get a Nexus 5X compatible with Sprint's CDMA network.

Surely, there must be a phone model specific to each carrier.

you shouldn't have to worry. It appears it'll work the same as the Moto X Pure Edition

Anyone know Google's cancellation policy for preorders? I'm mostly sold and would like to go ahead and put my name on the list, but it'd be great to be able to cancel without penalty in case reviews start coming out and the news isn't good.

Nexus 5X (32GB, LTE, Quartz); Estimated delivery date: October 23 – 27, 2015
Nexus 6P (32GB, LTE, Aluminium); Estimated delivery date: October 30 – November 3, 2015

I ended up doing the same although my 6P is Nov 5-9 as I had to debate with myself if I wanted to go through the hassle of returning a phone.

Yeah, its worth it to me to get a proper feel for both phones. I ordered 2 Moto X Pure Editions and ended up returning both. Even got my monies back pretty quickly. No hassle there. Hopefully Google will be as smooth.

I bit the bullet on a black 32gb. Should be here right around my birthday (Oct. 28-30 it says), so happy early birthday to me! Here's to hoping used Galaxy S5 prices don't plummet in the meantime so I can get some cash out of my old phone.

Ordered 32GB in Carbon. Delivery Oct. 28-30. I was in a meeting when pre-orders went live, so I'm glad that my shipping isn't drastically later than other folks.

I cancelled my original white 5X for an ice blue one after getting a better look at it. Thankfully ordering it 2 hours later only pushed back my delivery date from Oct 23 to Oct 30 which I am okay with since I plan to compare it to the 6P which I also ordered and it scheduled for Nov 5.

I ordered the 32 black 5x. Just cancelled. It was an impulse buy. I've got the OG N5 and have loved it since it came out. This new phone doesn't seem much better. Better camera. I'll admit I wasn't up on the latest news so I ordered blindly, now browsing the site and forums, I'm having buyers remorse.

I'm going to do more research.

I debated the Ice but got nervous about how the color would look in person.

The white Nexus 5 (2013) looks very different from the black one. Looks way cheaper.
I hope the 5X white looks cool

I've got the OG N5 and have loved it since it came out. This new phone doesn't seem much better. Better camera.

You did the right thing IMHO. I also have the original Nexus 5 (32Gb)and I'll be keeping it. The screen is like new and it's a perfect shape and size and the phone is as fast and responsive as I'd ever need.

As you say, the 5X camera is better but then what are you going to do with the photos? If you're going to print to A3 or larger, that's maybe a consideration, but for 'record' shots for home use and posting to the web, the original 5 is easily good enough, especially if you shoot RAW with, say, 'Camera FV-5' as I do. (Trust me, I'm a photographer). If I want to print to A3, I'll shoot with my Nikon D810 or my Sony RX100III.

So, would I give up wireless charging and image stabilisation for a few more megapixels on my phone? No way.

I did actually consider buying this as my original N5 kept shutting down without warning. Instead, I spent 30 euro on a back removal kit and a new battery from Amazon, and the phone is like new again. So I now have 400 euro to spend on something worthwhile.

I ordered my 5X yesterday and the charge was taken out of my account today. I thought Google said they would not charge my account until the device shipped, yet I have a delivery status of end of October.

Hi guys, doesn anyone know why the 5X at Carphone Warehouse costs £30 less and will be delivered 10 days earlier than from Google Store?

I tried to speak with google customer service, but wasn't really helpful to understand.
