It's the same. My card was charged then I received the money back roughly 5 days later. BTW ordered 32gb graphite! can't wait for November 5-9th!

After six days, the pre-authorized purchase dropped off. I guess that's a good sign. Order still says "PREORDERED" from Nov. 5 -6.

Sending the MXPE back today, looks like I'll be stuck with my Galaxy S4 for a few weeks Along with my reverse engineered NANO-MicroSim LOL.

Originally ordered the Graphite 64GB on 10/2 and I received a 11/10-12 ship date. I cancelled the order later that day and I just ordered the Aluminum 64GB and received the same shipping dates. It seems to me like the pre-orders are slowing down a bit, at least for the more expensive model.

So my estimated shipping time is 4-5 weeks, and I've seen others say the same thing. Was wondering if that's how they all are or if earlier orders have earlier shipping times. Maybe 2-3 weeks? Is it a staggered rollout?

Can't wait for my 6P and November can't come soon enough!

At least for the 6P the earliest expected delivery date I've seen is Oct 30th for those who ordered right away.

So probably not much of a staggered shipping. Mine is saying November 5-9th.

Here's to hoping the estimate is conservative. I know the forum will really start rocking once people get their shipping notice.

My apologies for not being clearer. I was referring to a Debit card, as in my case.

One of the reasons I never use a debit card on these types of purchases, really messes with your money

I'm in the October 30th group, but I've seen one person say October 27-29. Hopefully they end up shipping sooner than that. One of the cases on Amazon says it'll be in stock October 16th, so I'm wondering if that's based on some Google intel. I wonder what the hold up is, because obviously all the phones are done.

Here's a funny one. After placing my pre-order last week Google placed a hold for $773.53 on my credit card. Three days later, as expected, the hold dropped off. Today I look at my credit card account and it shows a $-773.53 charge pending from Google Play. Awesome! I guess they are paying me back for the pain and suffering of waiting a month for the N6P I haven't been charged me for. I guess we'll see if it's still there in 3 days.

Considering this thread is pretty lengthy...Im not sure if this was covered.

Anyone happy with Google preorder strategy? Personally I think it stopped the flippers from pushing up the price and ripping people off. Just look at the sad listings on EBay.

Also to answer questions regarding seemingly random estimate dates it has to deal with supply chain and material resource planning. IE: Parts on hand, delivery timeline, and location. Most enterprises companies today run advance demand planning, supply chain management, and materials resource planning software. Build time, and delivery location are part of the factors that contribute to your ship estimate.

I'd be surprised if these come late, in fact I expect these phones will ship earlier than estimated.

So, I have a Nov 4-6th delivery date for the 32gb. I ordered my phone pretty much right after it opened on the 29th. I'm curious how accurate those shipping/arrival estimates tend to be with google. I think the only thing's i've ordered directly from Google are/were the Nexus 4 and 5, respectively. And both those were so long ago i don't remember. I seem to remember they beat their estimates with both of those, but i'm sure someone else here has better insight.

This has nothing to do with Google. They don't manufacture the product.

Google gathers all the order data, and send it straight to the manufacturers. Then the manufacturers punch all that info into their systems. The system determines the required parts for each order, cross checks to see how much part inventory is on hand, alerts someone to order more parts, factors in manufacturing lines, etc etc. It then spits out estimated delivery dates and gives them back to google. From there, its guaranteed that google pads this estimated date...because **** happens, then gives you a revised estimate.

Your actually delivery date will vary will all of the factors you mention but your estimated date is not that sophisticated.

They aren't looking at real time numbers down to the production line to give you such an exact date, why? because they don't care that much.

I just went through this with Motorola and the new moto X, they were all over the place with expected vs. actual dates. One of the biggest reasons is the use of multiple manufacturing facilities for the same phone.
