I would be interested to hear other tales from Nexus owners who pre-ordered vs. actual ship times with past devices. Hoping for a severely fluffed ship estimation date!

Considering this thread is pretty lengthy...Im not sure if this was covered.

Anyone happy with Google preorder strategy? Personally I think it stopped the flippers from pushing up the price and ripping people off. Just look at the sad listings on EBay.

Also to answer questions regarding seemingly random estimate dates it has to deal with supply chain and material resource planning. IE: Parts on hand, delivery timeline, and location. Most enterprises companies today run advance demand planning, supply chain management, and materials resource planning software. Build time, and delivery location are part of the factors that contribute to your ship estimate.

I'd be surprised if these come late, in fact I expect these phones will ship earlier than estimated.

I like it this way so far, and I hope you're right. The last couple of Nexus launches were strange, with last years being the strangest.

I ordered the Nexus 5 within minutes of them putting it on presale and it gave me a deliver date 3 - 4 weeks out and it shipped within a couple of days. I was super shocked.. Ordered on October 31, 2014 and I had it in hand by November 5th even though delivery was late November...

Nexus 6 I ordered directly through Motorola and it eventually shipped about 3 or 4 days "Sooner" than the original estimate given at check out. I am hoping we start seeing phones shipping in the next week or two... My delivery estimated delivery date is October 30 - November 3rd... I am kind of okay with that... but will stink if it's later than that...

Crazy, I ordered a Nexus 6P (64GB, Graphite) on Oct 4 and my ship window is Nov 10-12. SMH. Oh well.

I ordered the 32 GB Aluminum directly from Huwei on 9/29 (I am cheap and wanted to save the sales tax AND be able to finance it)

Unfortunately there is no status of any kind, no mention of an expected ship date. Just waiting (not-so) patiently and checking the website a few times a day.

It was probably just authorization charge to make sure there was money in the account. It'll be charged and come out of your account when the device ships.

Originally preordered 32gb aluminum estimated delivery Nov 2-5. Then II decided I wanted the 64 GB aluminum and now my estimated delivery is Nov 10-12... BTW my PROJECT FI sim is supposed to arrive Oct 29- Nov 2. I'll be having alot of fun!!!
