Hi Everyone

I have a LG Thrive (P506) and I installed the Cyanogem mod 7.2.0 and my color was all wrong and I installed the joban 2.08 but my screen only shows the LG icon when I turn on after this my screen keeps all dark but sometimes if I touch the screen it vibrates so I think it's working, but I can't see anything.

Can anyone help me?

Try doing a factory reset (Hold Volume Up + Power + Home) It clears the cache and data which can be issue if you flash a new ROM. If you have CWM then wipe cache and data and reboot. Restore from a backup if that doesn't help.

I have CWM Recovery v3.1.0.0, I tried wiping both data and the cache but nothing changed, and the system says it can't find my backup that i did before I flashed the phone with rom manager

download and flash the a8 version, its for .32 and old baseband

I don't think that rom is being hosted anymore, unless it's hidden somewhere on that forum but the links on the first page are dead.

Ok man ill help ya out, what you wanna do is factory reset your phone, clear dalvik cache, and clear cache....
Then get this file on your sd card and flash this with Joban's Kernal... (Its a mirror of Cyanogen mod .32 Kernal)
I believe the reason you're having these problems is because you flashed the wrong kernal/rom... prolly .35 instead of , .32.... So what you do is click this link, a pick the first download. Then copy to SD card, and go into CWM Recovery, and flash the files.

Let me know if it works for ya-it should.

Oathkeeper, none of the p500 roms will work currently with the phoenix. We need a modified stock kernel and/or a cm7 kernel on .35 to be able to flash whatever we want. Honestly, i have a sgs2 skyrocket myself and i'm loving it. I have it oc'ed to 1.72 ghz using faux 0.9 kernel and it is just sweet. But back on topic, i gave my phoenix to my girlfriend and i may have a few suggestions for you.
1. Root and then use set cpu to change the governor to performance.(not really overclocking but it does help)
2. Use a custom launcher (go launcher and adw launcher ex are my fav.)
3. Definately use link2sd.(I installed about 7 games and like 20 apps on the phoenix and theres still 120mb left internally)
4. Look into UOT Kitchen. This thing is wicked and even lets you fully theme out your STOCK ROM.(Custom battery icon,custom icon packs for everything,custom lockscreen,you name it)

These are just some suggestions as i have pretty much given up on this kernel and just made gingerbread totally customized for my girlfriend.(She has a PAW for a battery icon)LOL

Ok, sorry it didn't work... I had THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM! so i know its the kernal. You need to flash a .32 kernal/rom in order for Joban's kernal to work properly, because Joban's kernal is not made for a .35 kernal. You MUST have a .32.

THE PROBLEM: You need to get a .32 kernal, a .35 won't work... it will just stay at the lg logo or screen will go black after a while; so its a must that your LG THRIVE has a .32 kernal flashed with Joban's kernal.

QUICK NOTE*-Maybe try this,
-Make a backup of your SD on your computer, then partition your sd card, format sd card, clear cache, clear dalvik cache, put the cyanogen mod 7 back on SD card as well as Joban's Kernal, and reflash the Cyanogen Mod and reboot-if it works reboot phone once more and flash Joban's kernal... success.

Do you think I should stay with that one or should I try again the CM7?
One more I know this isn't the place for that but where's the android market, please tell me that it works with custom roms
