Just bought Moto X Pure/Style... Need help with expandable storage?

Hello everyone, I just bought my Moto X Pure/Style with 16gb of internal memory. I tend to hoard a lot of things on my phones (pictures, videos, songs, movies, etc) so 16gb isn't going to be enough. I've been looking at expandable storage for my Moto X and I'm not sure but I've read that it only supports microSDXC or 64gb and up. I honestly don't need that much and would rather just use a microSDHC with 8gb-16gb. Would my MotoX still be able to read the card if it was an SDHC instead of SDXC?

Your choice will work but you can get a 32gb for about 15 bucks online. I use SanDisk and can say I haven't had any issues.

I use a 200GB formatted Exfat and works fine.

A smaller capacity card is fine. Anything that is SDXC rated is also backwards compatible with SDHC and traditional SD format cards. Although like others mentioned you can get a 32GB micro SD on amazon for just a few bucks. So why not pick one up. It is better to have more space than you need, than need more and not have it. Also if you are going to be taking a lot of pictures keep in mind that the higher MP sensor camera on this phone is going to have much larger image file sizes and fill up that card much quicker.
