Just noticed a New PRL on my Phone

I thought I read somewhhere that the 08 version was for verizon customers already in a 4g area or something like that...then I remember reading something Altell areas switching over and which towers to use...I more than likely have no idea what I'm talking about so disregard if you haven't read something similar

I'm in an LTE launch city and I had 15008, but now I have 15011.

It's under Software Information under the About Phone section in the Settings.

I know the thread you are talking about, but FYI: I got my phone on launch day and had LTE in my area that day.

I had 15008 and today 15011 and I keep an eye on it for information purposes.

I dont know if some live in an area thats Alltel, but where I live its Big Red

I used to have the 15008 PRL and after I just checked I too have the 15011 PRL.

As far as what you said about the 08 version, my area will be one of the last to get LTE and we are not running off of old Alltel towers, so who knows what the difference is. I do remeber reading a thread on here awhile back (like a week after launch) that some people already had the 11 version and were wondering if that was the reason why they weren't having some of the issues others were having.

But this clearly shows how PRL updates will be handled for SIM card equipped phones. No more *228 just let the SIM card handle it.

I'm assuming these different PRL #s are location based/specific. So don't be surprised if yours isn't the highest number.
