Just received the newer version of Seidio Innocase II, seems more rubberized inside

just chiming in that i also received a replacement Innocase with the new rubberized insides and it fits tight! ZERO squeaking and wiggle but i do have one complaint and that is that the middle where the two pieces form, it's not quite flush so there's a slight hump there, but it's very small.

either way, i'm extremely happy with seidio's support and their willingness to listen to their customers, my next case for my next phone will be a seidio! :)

happy to hear about the improvements.

Cant wait to get mine that I have on order. They better send me the new version.

I bought 5 evos for the family and converted a few friends to the evo. So, I have a lot of experience with the popular cases for our phones.

1. HTC Silicon case - Very nice fit and pretty solid protection. Definitely not recommended for guys because you will never get this out of your pocket. However, for girls with purses, this is a solid option.

2. Active Case by Seidio - Perfect fit and better protection then the silicon case and innocase. It feels solid in your hand during use and you almost feel like you can drop it and it will be fine. However, it does add about the same amount of bulk as the silicon case and it does pull out your pant pocket lining about half of the time. As a guy, this frustrates me but it is inevitable since the sides of the case are silicon rubber.

3. Platinum-Seidio Gen 1 innocase - nice feel and keeps the phone true to its naked size. Doest give you as solid feel as the other two cases while in use but it comes in and out of the pocket easily.

Not every case will be perfect for everyone. I think you just need to weigh the pros and cons and decide what works for you.

My 2 cents. Cheers.

Since I have had 3 replacements done I am getting the Innocase ACTIVE shipped to me also in addition to the rubberized inner Innocase II. I will luckily get to try them both out :) Was going to just have the Active shipped and I definitely looked forward to it, but when Seidio realized I was not shipped the rubberized inner case last week they decided to ship me both! Will be nice having a 2 cases for different scenarios :)

Really, I spoke to two people there and they told me that since they don't sell the active directly they couldn't send me one as a replacement. I ordered my active from Amazon on the 16th, didn't ship until today and won't arrive until Monday next week. Wish I would have had this option instead of going caseless for almost two weeks. Damn Seidio!

If it isn't to my expectations its going back and hopefully Otterbox will put there Commuter case will come out soon.

My question is, even with the new case, which I just got my rma today, would you still put felt in the corners or will the rubber now not cause any scratches? It does feel pretty tight on. Will the extra felt make it too tight?

I took some pics...with my Evo no less....

:-)

If you need a higher resolution version, let me know.

I think it's perfect as is....this coating is pretty durable too, I had a Seidio 2600 battery in my Pre and it came with a back with the same coating and it still looks like new. Then again, I am pretty careful with my phones, so your mileage may vary.

Thanks. I tried to take a picture but it came out to dark. Are you going to put felt in or leave it alone? I am leaning towards trying it out first for a day or two to see if it needs it, but of course I don't want to scratch the phone(I mean my baby). My wife says a baby the phone to much.

Sorry, you answered the question before I finished my post. Thanks

LOL...hit the Thanks button so I can get past that 13! My phone was #13 when I pre ordered it at Best Buy, and it's getting replaced because of the lifting screen thing.

I won't put felt on it unless it really losens up for whatever reason. I think adding felt to it now might not be a good idea since it might be so tight then that slipping the phone on will get difficult increasing the risk of messing something up when trying to remove the cover. Currently it feels perfect.

I had made a post myself about the new version of this case, and in it I mentioned that it says "REV4" on the back. The only play I could find so far is if you put your index finger at the top of the phone by the power button, and you thumb at the bottom of the phone and then squeeze, you can feel a little play due to the latching mechanism that keeps the two parts together, but that's to be expected and really nit picking it. It will never interfere with daily activities.

I see that Amazon has the Blue Innocase II Surface Cases now shipping. Any idea ( SeidioSeidio ) if these are the newer type cases??

I was wondering the same thing. If we get our cases from a third party (not directly from Seidio) will we get the new version? And if not will Seidio still take care of us from a customer service standpoint if/when we have issues?

And will the rugged case have the new version of the Innocase II included or should we look forward to having to return the included Innocase II for the newer version?

I purchased a seidio case for my pre on amazon awhile ago and when the tabs broke, I sent amazon an email and they sent me a new one and gave me a return label to send back the broken one with no hassle. So buying directly from the seller Amazon directly (not other sellers such as "mobilecity") they will definitely take care of you.

Hello,

Thank you for your questions and we would love to help! Regardless of where you purchased your case, you are still covered under our warranty. If you have an issue with your case, please feel free to PM us and we will be more happy to see what we can do for you!

For the Rugged Case Combo, all of the Innocase II Surface will feature the revised case so order away! :)

Regards,

Awesome thanks mr seidio. Just ordered the Blue Innocase II off Amazon - it'll be here Friday. As much as I love the Innocase Active, it'll be nice to now have a color option.

Also, Seidio should really bring out some color exoskeleton's for the active case.

Seidio is working on various colors for Active. It should be available 1-2 weeks from now. The matching holster should also be available

Thanks

Seidio

I'm still debating on picking a few of these up.. seems like this is only quality case available.. Definitely not as many quality options as a phone like the iPhone has.

I recently ordered the White innocase 2/holster combo and the rapid charger from Seidio. According to the website both appeared to be in stock ( nothing saying otherwise) and I ordered back on 6/18. I received an email the next day telling me that one of the items was backordered. So okay I can handle that. I called on Monday to find out what was going on and the rep on Monday told me that the car charger would be in today(Wednesday). I called today just to double check the status and the rep told me today that the charger would be in on Friday and probably shipping out Monday.

I am going on a long vacation at the end of next week and I need a car charger to keep the EVo charged, since I was buying from Seidio already I figured I would try the car charger from them too.

This was my first Seidio product to buy and I spent $70.00 bucks and already I have a bad taste in my mouth for having to wait an extra week or so for my things to ship. I am just hoping that my items arrive in time before I go on vacation otherwise I will have to buy an overpriced car charger from Sprint on the way out of town.

One of the reasons I chose to buy from Seidio was because of the great customer service that I saw from them on these very same forums. I'm not ranting or raving, I'm just telling giving some information to others so that if they plan on buying from the Seidio online store to call and doublecheck to make sure that they items they are ordering are in stock.

To my understanding the Seido Innocase is pretty much identical to the Best Buy Platinum case (BB case has paperwork in the package that references Seido). Can someone confirm if this is correct? If they're the same case, I wonder if BB will be getting the updated case for me to exchange.

The BB Platinum case has some felt on the back/flat parts but hard plastic that touches the corners of the EVO, but I think I might want to pick up the new version of the official Seido case since it's not plastic on plastic in the corners.
