Keeping or Returning?

+1.

Keeper here too. LOVE the phone. No issues except for 1 battery pull 2 days ago. Otherwise, it's by far the best phone I hav ever had.

Battery issues? Get Juice Defender. I just went 38h without a recharge and moderate phone use all day yesterday and today... On 4G, wireless and bluetooth.

Katherine

What are your juice defender settings?
That sounds impressive. Perhaps I will install it. I had JD on my previous phone, but haven't put it on this one yet.
I was actually using PowerMax more on my other phone to save quite a bit of battery life.

Where are you getting that number from?

The phone is not crap at all. If not for the battery situation it would arguably the best phone on the market.

Brandon

LOL that comment made me laugh .
I research ANY phone I have considered and found that to be untrue by many on the official moto site and that many people wouldnt be complaining unless some bugs were valid .So thats kinda a bias statement .
But anyway to anyone who has kept this phone I wish you the best of luck I know everyone who spends their hard earned money on this deserves a great phone and all.So hopefully for y'all keepers they release an update to squash the bugs that are valid .Good luck and enjoy

My phone also easily gets more than 24 hrs with juice defender on advanced

I will agree with kki000, anyone who says they like the bionics screen needs to have their eyes checked. It's absolutely horrible. The screen on my og Druid is much clearer. It makes you wonder when websites were doing reviews how they would say the screen is surprisingly nice. I own the bionic and verizon couldn't pay me enough to tell a potential customer that, it's WAY below average if you ask me.

I don't like the screen, I love the screen. Only the retina is better right now. I start clinicals in two weeks. Just had a complete physical, including sight. 20/20. Go troll elsewhere.

I don't have a Bionic yet, but this is what I thought about the D3 screen. Sure I could see some pixelation on certain things, but it was otherwise beautiful, especially outside in the sun. I honestly agree that the retina display is the only one that's better. To each their own, but when I get my Bionic, the screen won't cause me to sell it. Plus, I don't think anything in the near future will completely blow it out of the water. Maybe marginally better, but not like the end all of phones is just around the corner.

Nice try with the trolling, how can a customer troll for a product they own and actually like? I like my bionic, i stood in line for it, I think the phone is very quick/snappy, lte is just crazy fast. The battery life is "ok" but i expected it to not be great so I am not complaining, my 2 gripes are

1) speaker phone is very low, especially compared to other Motorola phones

2) the screen does not look great, side by side with my old droid 1, the 1 looks better and thats a screen that's 18 months old. I can see pixels on almost all of my pictures, and at certain angles you see odd greens/blues for no reason at all.

You can go ahead and call me a troll all you want, just because someone disagree's doesn't mean they are trolling so maybe you should have another eye exam.

Agreed

Man, after reading this thread, I went on a pixelation hunt and I found it. Now I see it in almost everything on the phone. But, I looked at my Incredible and I can see a bit of pixelation on that screen now as well. Still not a dealbreaker, but I have since done some research on the Prime, got some thinking to do. Still really like the Bionic, though.

Seriously, just stop already. This has been discussed to death in here and elsewhere. The pentile does not bother some people, and some people like the screen regardless. You saying 'anyone who says they like the bionics screen needs to have their eyes checked' is bs and it needs to stop. You are insulting people that DO actually like the screen, and youre trying to dredge up an argument that has already been done to death. I'm not going to call you a troll since thats against forum rules, but your posts more than speak for themselves.

It wasn't you disagreeing that's the reason he called you a troll. It's the completely disrespectful and condescending way you wrote your post.

I agree with the people that like the screen. I have an OG Droid as well as the Thunderbolt and I prefer the Bionic, especially in direct sunlight.

I liked the OG Droid screen quality the best of the phones I've owned or examined closely. My Droid X has the same screen resolution but since the screen is so much larger, everything is a bit fuzzier. And despite the Bionice being qHD, the pixels per inch on the OG Droid is actually higher. And you don't have the jaggedy weirdness. Of course the display on th OG is smaller which makes it easier to keep costs down.

What about two of the posts above that are condescending and disrespectful towards other members here? It works both ways; calling someone a troll is a violation, but so is the act of trolling. (and yet the offending posts are still here...)

I have never returned a phone but i am considering returning the bionic-- Screen doesnt bother me or wow me and the battery is what i would expect in a 4g now BUT

I bought it for $300 and i fail to see how its a $300 device -- now its $199 already and VZW refuses to pricematch or give any type of credit

and the main reason is i am not sure the device warrants my upgrade over my X -- The X really performed well and I am not sure the boost in the bionic is enough to justify being locked down until Summer 2013.

I am totally on the fence.

When I visit the Verizon site, it still has it listed for $299

I felt the same way coming from my trusty Droid X. That phone is really hard to beat! Great battery life, very stable and wonderful screen, camera, etc. However, having my Bionic to play with all week, I have to say I like it MUCH better. It is without a doubt much faster. The screen is also much nicer, especially when taken outside. Also, the 4 buttons on the bottom of the Droid X used to drive me nuts. I would have to push them pretty hard to get them to work. Same with the camera button.

I love the simple "touch" of the menu buttons on the Bionic. It sames my right thumb from hurting at night!

My biggest disappointment so far is the camera. It's equal to or worse than my Droid X, even with Camera Pro FX installed. I was expecting some improvement given that I have let 2 years pass....

I sure don't mind being stuck with this phone till summer 2013! It is performing really well for me right now. Worse case, I will steal my daughter's upgrade coming in summer 2012 and give her the BIonic. She'll be thrilled. But I doubt it. I am really liking my new phone. Frankly, until they get a totally new type of battery out there that gives us 3-5 days of use time the way the old flip phones did, I don't see a huge upgrade from phone to phone coming up in the next year or two...
