[Kernel] Genocide 1.2GHz Froyo DK28/EB13 RFS/EXT4

Thanks, I had setcpu set to 1000 automatically so didn't notice the difference... I can see it now that I've upped it to 1200...

Its working... They didn't update the build.prop file changing the kernel version.

Install the setCPU or the OverClock Widget and if you can set your processor speed past 1000 to 1.2 then your in business.

So if I understand correctly, flashing this kernel then setting SetCPU to 1GHz will give me slightly better battery life than before?

Running well on truly epic rebirth 1.5. My question is when I open es explorer with this kernel installed it doesn't show any folders. It will work if I uncheck root in settings . I tried changing the rom in root options and it don't work that way. Just wondering if anyone knows why . I cleared data in es and reinstalled, with same results. Thanks

Correct. I've noticed a big battery difference already. Running Angry Birds the same amount of play time pre-kernel would of drained my battery 20-30 percent easily, now post kernel I've surfed the net, posted here a few times and playing Angry Birds I've dropped 23 percent in 5 hours... Very nice improvement. :)

I've used Root Explorer and Astro and have had no problems. Remember as stated by the dev of this kernel its his first go around the block with kernels so there could be some conflicts. So far I've had none. Phone is running sweet set at 1000 for the undervolt advantage.

I've been using this at 1GHz for the last couple hours and have noticed battery usage at idle dropping from about 4%/hour to about 2%/hour. Pretty sweet.

Yes there are two versions. One has some basic features and the other version is BYOR (build your own ROM) stripped down.

Wait, do I flash this in CWM? Because I just read a post in this thread that said you install this kernel through astro? I'm confused.

when to install

I am currently using dk28 but plan on installing eb13 as soon as I can should we wait on installing this kernel until after I install eb13. Does it mater?????

This kernel is based on DK28 Froyo. It probbly won't work for EB13 Froyo.
