Kool-Aid--2.1--new leak!!!

I have installed the MODS from option 4: clearlock, expresso and clearlock expresso. I didn't have a problem. I flash them one at a time and kept the clearlock expresso. I didn't do a wipe, not sure if I need it to. I noticed the web browser to be slow.

Oh most definitely! I think it's a flaw with "larger" communities.

Oh... and to stay half on topic... High didn't work well with my phone. Sugar free working MUCH nicer after removing the rest of the unwanted bloatware.

stupid question... did you just use manage applications to delete unwanted progs?

I havn't tried but my guess is problably not.I was going to mess around with them later to see what i could do.If you want nadroid backup and try.

I tried a Godzson taskbar based on the previous leak and it gave me fits, kept loosing a data connection. I had to go back to my nan backup.

i think so? i followed instructions on xda, so i think so. i can look it up later, no worries. :) i just didn't know it could be done! thanks!

Romoving system apps is easy if you've rooted through the SDK (which means you phone is already setup drivers wise).
Just type:

Code:
cd c:\android-sdk-windows\tools
adb remount
adb shell
rm /system/app/FILENAME.apk

File names can be case sensitive, so use a file manager first to get the proper name of a file you want to delete.
Examples:
Sprint_NFL.apk (Football app)
Sprint_Navigation.apk (Sprint Nav)
Sprint_Nscar.apk (Nascar app, no i didn't misspell it)
Sprint_TV.apk (sprint TV)
Sprint_TVWidget.apk (tv widget)
GSD.apk (HTC test app, remove if you see it)
...

High/Low = How aggressive the phone is at clearing memory

Sugar Free = Most of bloatware removed.

Uh, how long is it supposed to take for the Hero to boot up the first time? It's been twenty minutes and the thing keeps cycling between the HTC logo, then the sprint animation before stopping on the word NOW.

Well, I finally took the dive today..... rooted and everything. I would like to thank beezy420 for taking the time to do this along with everyone else who offered their assistance and input on this site. Without you guys, I wouldn't even have considered rooting my phone. Just booted it up with the sugar free. Time to play.... thanks again :p

I seem to have lost the ability to zoom in on my photos. I can't find any other way to zoom other than the tradition pinch gesture. I'm running the Sugar-Free version, if it helps.

By the way, Beezy, you do awesome work. Thank you very much for your time and effort!
