Kool-Aid--2.1--new leak!!!

Pinch to zoom does not work.

Also, the calculator isn't...calculating...correctly. Any number divided by 9 gets a wrong answer. For example, 350/9 shows the answer being 8.888888888. 35/9 shows .8888888888. 15/9 shows .6666666666.

Any clue as to why?

I have had the problem of Pinch to Zoom not working on the home screen when I first installed. A reboot fixed it and have never had the problem since. Might want to see if that will help the calculator problem too.

Just updated to Sprint's official 2.1 OS. Problem with the calculator was it wasn't showing the first digit. For example, 350/9 is 38.88888888 (it was showing only 8.88888888).

You ran the official ruu?

Out of curiosity is there a way to uninstall system apps from the phone without using the SDK?

Exactly what happened to me. Before installing apps it works fine. Twice I used Astrology to reinstall some apps. Twice its broken I think that's it. This time use the market.

Yup, reinstalling the backed up apps from Astro seems to be what messed it up. After starting over and reinstalling from the market it works just dandy. :)

You can use terminal emulator from market and enter the commads that way. Also remeber this still has odex files so you might have to remove apk and odex.

Ill keep that in mind.

I am pretty sure it was Handcent SMS causing mine to do this. I took it off and it has not re-booted since!!

Glad you got it.

How long is the phone stuck on the loading page and the circle keeps going around and around. I know it was mentioned that it takes a long time, but how long?

If its been more then five min. reboot and just keep the screen on til it loads.

So, after a full day of using it. Does it seem like the battery life is shorter on the sugar free version then on the option 4? Anybody else expereince this?

thanks and what is superuser??

If you try to use a app like shoot me or wireless tether, youll need to give it superuser premissions. That app will open its self asking you if you want to allow or not choose always allow.Other then that it just sits there. If you open it,will just be black screen.

Well now that was going to be my next guess was check your sync settings for mail and facebook.I always forget to change hotmail to sync once a day instead of every 15.

ok, im about to try this and had a couple questions. I think im rooted but not sure. had some complications during the Condensed Root tutorial. when get in cmd prompt and into sdk tools, i typed adb shell and got the $ sign. ive been lookin all over the forums and i know i saw something about this somewhere. does $ or # mean u have root. also i can not factory reset my phone, it freezes at the HTC screen nor do i know how to clear the dalvik or anything like that. I have the stock 2gig SD card in it, not partitioned. im not a linux user so i just want to make sure im doing everything possible to NOT brick my phone. thanks for your time, you guys are always a BIG help!!!
Edit: Also, the recovery img is on the SD card but i could never get it to boot into recovery mode. and nandroid back up would not work when i tried to root. thats about where i started having probs. (during the Condensed root tutorial) So im not even gonna attempt anything with this till i know more.

If you type adb remount, adb shell, and get $ thats not root #is.Also did you flash the recovery image/make a nadroid backup?

If your not getting # or if your phone didn't reboot into recovery for you to make a nadroid back up,then i would say we need to get you threw the rooting process.

ok, i dont have root. the nadroid backup is where things went screwy, or maybe just before. when i rebooted from cmd prompt it froze at the HTC screen. i have never been able to get it to boot into recovery

I think you need to start back over and when it reboots just give it a little time.Make sure you have the asroot2 and recovery img in tools folder of sdk then start a the the first command. Also lets post about this in that forum that way the other guys online see it an can helpout incase i can't figure it out.
