when downloading the rom from rom manager app, it has a pop up to select "google add ons" and "modules" do i select both or 1 or none? this is diff then when i use droid root pro

I always choose both! Idk if it makes a difference if you choose both but it brings gmail, gtalk, goggles, and any other google product. So I always choose both just incase.

I think that the add ons probably mean google goggles, news and weather, and amazon MP3. I'm not sure though, so please correct me if possible.

Ok i'm not sure what happened here. I was having trouble upgrading from .2 using ROM manager. So i manually saved the zip file on the sdcard and installed that way. But somehow, i lost my Gold Android recovery screen and now i get the Clockwork Mod recovery when i power on and hold X. Does this mean i lost all my previous backups i did with sprecovery?

Check the nandroid folder in the sd. Before using the rom manager, it told you that you were gonna flash a new recovery. That is how you lost it. You can always reflash your old recovery with droid root pro.

just stepping in to the new update, tried to update with rom manager and had it come up not working; got to the rom install screen in recovery and got aborted (bad) was the reasoning... i guess ill just try again, or download via cyanogenmod form and install off sd card that way

tried again and no luck, on the forum it has 5.0.5 and via rom manager i get 5.0.5.3 ill just load the 5.0.5 from the forum

With swap enabled x1 is very good other not being able to receive calls using 3g and having to reboot after turning off wifi it's great. Now x1b is a different story just took a step back in stability
