Android Central Question

Hi All,

From past 1-week virus name "chromes" getting installed automatically in my Android device.CCleaner, Avast,360 security all are saying that harmful virus installed from unwanted source but not able to remove it .I have to remove it manually and its getting reinstall in 5 min.
I did the factory reset, uncheck download from unwanted source, change from goodl password form desktop, remove sd card, installed only 3-4 important app, Uninstall /disable chrome, appstore, google play services, play store.
But still, this app is getting installed in every 5 min even after uninstalling it always.
It seems like new kind of trojen as I dodnt got information about it anywhere in internet.I need help.

That says that it was installed as a system app, and your phone isn't rooted. You can root it, then remove the virus automatically (with one of the apps that said it couldn't remove it automatically), or you can reflash the ROM. (If you reflash the ROM, make sure that you back up everything first [see Backing up an Android Device) - you'll lose anything you've done to the phone since it came out of the box.)

Hi one week ago my phone got infected with this virus. this random app called "chromes" keeps getting installed can't be removed by any anti-virus or factory reset i need help please someone tell me how to fix this

I had the same problem. It all started when I got couple of warning msgs about a malicious app named Mail. I searched my apps and there was no such app. Then I started getting ads even whet I was talking on my phone. Soon after, I discovered that Chromes app, and also a different version of FB app. And there was no way to get rid of it...

Some "china phones" come with a preinstalled trojan that you can only get rid of by flashing your ROM. You're going to want to get a stock Android or custom ROM; reflashing the official ROM from the manufacturer will not work, as the trojan is a part of that ROM to begin with.

Hello. A MyPhone My87 DTV user. I've also been a victim of Chromes for about 3 weeks. I installed Security Master. When time passes virus apps became much worse than before. Chromes virus duplicates (or even triplicates) itself as well as other viruses ("Settings", "Mail", "Facebook", and "Calendar"). I think my cracked apps are the main culprits to launch laggy viruses to my phone every 15 minutes. Should I factory reset and secure my accounts? Please help!

Welcome to the forums. I would try a factory reset, and be careful on which apps you reload afterwards.
