I saw the correct version, but I am in a Forced Close loop. Tried the steps, cannot get out of it, will now try the 09tar file and start over again.

While I wait for the dl, tried wiping cache again. Seems to be on the screen for a long time. Red CWM says

I was restoring a bunch of programs with titanium backup, maybe some were the old camera software or something, then when I went to run the camera it made me install new drivers, close to 260 of them. I had to choose from 3 selections on the phone, i don't remember what they said. The phone rebooted and luckily everything seemed fine. Has anyone else run into this issue?

BTW while re-installing I somehow lost my NEED FOR SPEED SHIFT paid app. I got it during the $.99 cent sale and don't know how to get it back. I found 2 files with the words nfs in a search but they are sooo small. Also my sdcard has the folder with the music and a huge 500+ meg file so I have most of the game don't know how to get it back running. BTW my tetris and sims 3 from the same sale still work ok.

yeah, believe you just choose the bottom option, let it update and then reboot.

I don't know if this will make any sense to people, but one of the things I don't like in this build is that the input popup never opens up when I'm typing in a form such as this one in a web browser. As someone who pretty much manages the whole forum from his phone, it's kind of painful.

The other thing is I wish they hadn't taken airplane mode out of the notification panel. I needed that more than an auto rotation button.

Hey now that every thing has calmed down I need to ask somthing. Ok i did this last night and its working great i was getting the force close on twloncher but after i had my phone off all night today its working good but i wasnt really worried about that because i use Lp+. But the thing i do want to ask is I didnt clear anything before i did it and when it opened back up all my apps were there just as i left them. Is that how it should have happened? I keep reading of people havent to redownload all of their apps.

I just wanted to say, after all the terrible try's last night I finally got the right version of ODIN and booted my phone on froyo, I have not had one hiccup since, my phone is running great and only has done one battery pull... Thanks Cory, Chris and droidxcon for all the help!!!

Not sure if this was posted but the fonts...while we do have a couple of cool new ones, Fascinate is not yet compatible with the program needed to download additional fonts. Can't wait til it is, though...there are TONS of options.

yeah it normally takes me about and hour lol..

espicially rooting DL09 it took me 2hrs to get it using a mac and pc...

did this happen to anyone else? my appbrain app list got removed... completely, it now only shows what I have installed on this new rom

That's 'cause appbrain sees it as a different phone. I installed appbrain on my, now froyo phone, and appbrain.com has my old profile "SCHI500", and a new profile, "Samsung Fascinate".

Just go to your old profile on appbrain.com and "select all", then right above it, click on "add to list", and pick the new profile.

I really hate to see everyone having all these FC loops. The procedure was written based off a rooted, debloated, but otherwise stock (no 3rd party apps or other settings configured) phone. I did not take pre existing 3rd party apps or settings into account.

That said, if anyone can think of some things people should do before they start the flash, I'm all ears. One possible solution is to hard reset before flashing, but I realize that isn't a popular suggestion.

The next thing I think is important is to un Voodoo it. With all due respect to the Voodoo author, that hack has been the source of 80% of the problems in this forum since the Fascinate went on sale.

what does voodoo do anyway.. when i boot into cwm by pressing power and the volume button i boot iin cwm voodoo fix.. whats up with that but when i boot in recovery via root manager its green??
