I started to do data wipe/factory reset from CWM. After I selected data wipe/factory reset from the menu and pressed the home button, the screen has gone black and the soft keys are lit up - it has been like this for the last 30 minutes. Is this normal? Or has something gone wrong? I was rooted running Super Dark ROM v1 with Stupid Fast kernel (DJ05)

Is anyone having the CDROM issue since flashing to DL30? Ive never had it before until flashing to DL30... The only "Fix" I can find is rather annoying, rebooting phone with USB Debugging enabled...

Notes before you begin: The absolute safest way to proceed is to start with a factory reseted device with no 3rd party apps installed or Voodoo Lag Fix.

How do I do the factory reset? And just to clarify, a factory reset will clear all of my stuff but my Gmail accounts and my Backup assistant will keep my contacts?

Actually a lot of other people and I had this issue with DL_09, but I have not had this issue at all since updating to DL30.

Now I'm having an issue...everytime my phone powers off it wipes everything. The apps are still listed in the app drawer but I get the "process has stopped unexpectedly" warning for almost any app I try to open.

The phone was working okay but until I tried to use the camera and got the whole firmware update thing. I hit yes to update it and I had to restart the phone. Since it's been powered up, it has been wiped of all text messages and the apps arent working.

I noticed yesterday when my batt died and I powered it back on that all my messages and stuff were wiped and I had to reinstall half the apps.

Any fix or should I expect this?

*EDIT* My three email accounts (not Gmail) are still there. Gmail says "your email will appear shortly." fyi

Red. Before flashing froyo, I only had the dl09 update vzw pushed. It never did this before. Should I just go back or is it fixable? I dont want my stuff to erase everytime my phone powers off and then to have to reinstall every app...that would be irritating

Heh thats weird, I wonder what causes the CDROM bug, it's annoying. And I just got DL30 the way I like it, sucks to have to reinstall everything again. :(

Hey Con,
Have you gotten any sleep at all? Or are you fueled up on Mt. Dew and the excitement of playing with Froyo? Right before I went to bed at 3AM (5 your time) I had just flashed super clean 0.8 and now Adrynalyne is up to 1.0, so he obviously has not gotten a lot of sleep.

One thing about the update.zip. I'm seeing that people are getting the error message where the file is not found. I had that problem and here is why I had it. I was a noob and didn't totally understand what you meant by the root of my sd card. When I was downloading the update.zip, a download window popped up showing my phone and it showed a bunch of folders. One of the folders was named sdcard, so I saved update.zip there. This is obviously a folder within the sd card called sdcard. Once I saved the update.zip directly to the first screen where it listed all the folders, winner winner chicken dinner. Not sure if anyone else is as much of a noob as I was to make the same mistake, but if they do this solved my problem.

I cant say that flashing back will fix it since i dont even know the cause. Maybe Killah will have some insight on this

When you first start out make sure you UNCHECK Google's Back Up Service.

i usually go to sleep around 5 or 6 am and sleep until around 1 then i have to go to work lol

the problem earlier is that i forgot to even put the update.zip in the explanation so they didnt even have it. but thank you for that im sure alot of people make that mistake, i know i did in the start.

Does anyone know if this updated includes an option to keep the capacitive button back lights on for the length the screen is on?
