/orders DroidXCon and Chris Kerrigan to get sleep.
Geez... I just slept for 6 hours and you guys just wrapped up 2 hours ago.
Rest those weary fingers and slumber my friends.

P.S. still loving DL30... superclean any good... worth loading?

Tried it on voodoo with 0123_frankenkernel_sv_1200. Said installed but wouldn't boot past samsung logo. Reinstalled dl09 re-voodooed. Will try again when able to install on voodoo.

Why are the install versions here and on xda so different? Is the red cwm the same as their new cwm?

Congrats. Careful. Modding is VERY addicting.

I was wondering the same thing and was confused on which one I should do. I did the method here and it work fine but never installed this "new" cwm that they are talking about on XDA.

Thanks. I was leaning to following this site since this is where I came when I rooted and began.

Nandroid

First off, I'd like to thank everyone who is helping us get this installed. I installed last night right over DJ05 and have been running smooth with no problems. My question is, can we do a nandroid backup in rom manager or do we have to go through red recovery?

Thanks in advance!

2 questions...Will the rooting steps for 2.1 work with 2.2?

And once 2.2 is installed, can I re-enable(?) lagfix?

As far as I am aware there are no Voodoo kernals for 2.2 yet.

And you don't need to reroot 2.2 if you use the version in this thread (Message 1 or one of the first ones...need to go see the updates) It is already rooted so you will be good to go.

Have Fun!

Thanks Evanture!

Sorry, but one more question...Is anyone else getting the "Unable to load message. Message too long" in their Exchange emails? Any idea how to fix this? It is happening on every email; even a 1-word email.

I kept up with this thread pretty well yesterday...so if I missed something today my apologies...

Has anyone posted what their "about" screen is reporting?

Specifically Firmware, Baseband, Kernel and Build Numbers?

Mine is:

Firmware: 2.2.1
Baseband: S:1500.04 V.DL09
Kernel: 2.6.32.9
Build Number: SCH-I500.DL30

P.S. I just HAVE to say this...I FINALLY LOVE MY PHONE!!!

Yeah I think its a bug as others have been having that problem as well. I'm probably just going to switch to K-9 or something.

looks right. The baseband will differ depending on if people came from DJ05 or DL09

Browser Bookmarks

Maybe I'm missing something, but after flashing the new ROM I don't see any bookmarks in the default browser. I can add new ones, but there isn't an option for viewing them. I don't have the menu option to see the "bookmarks, most visited, history" page like I had before. Anyone having this? Am I just not looking in the right place.

That looks identical to mine.

I'm seeing multiple posts about this, so I'll add it to the issues list in post #3.

K9 is a good solution for POP/IMAP.

For Exchange I would recommend Touchdown, or Roadsync. TD being my first choice.
