Had DL09 since it came out. Phone screen finally went red. Odin came back failed after about 15min. Phone boots back to screen with a small phone and computer icon on it with a yellow triangle in between. Any ideas?
The next thing that should happen after step 13 is this:

Checked all cable connections. Tried one more time. Same result. Stuck with phone at downloading, Odin at recovery.bin. If it continues to plays out the same way, phone will shut off in about 10mins with a failed Odin response. Then if I put battery back and try to reboot, I would expect to get the phone, "yellow triangle !", computer icons again. Not sure how to preceed from here(if I even can), gulp!
Yes I'm rooted. Yes, battery was/is out. Phone did not go to red menu, just an entire red screen. Then it powered down and Odin came back failed.
Alright, see if my original procedure with the old ClockworkMod works for you instead: Click here. If at all possible, I would start by flashing the DJO9.tar.md5 file with ODIN.
P.S. - if you have been using the same USB port over and over, I would also try a different one. Make sure you also restart ODIN each time you flash with it.

At step #20, when I select install zip from sd card my screen goes black. Do I just wait? Shouldn't I be able to select zip from sd card immediately?
Back button is select. Press home button again to wake the screen up

Rebooting now! Thanks. Its kinda scary messing around with this phone when I don't really know what I'm doing, but I can't seem to leave it alone. Thanks for all the info on this site. If you can read you can have froyo.
