LG G3: AT&T

Re: LG G3 for AT&T Official Release Date

This is very disappointing. Wondering if that should be a deal breaker...

On the XDA forum, a guy did post pics of an ATT G3 with a 3/32 setup. What do you make of that?

I had leaked in the forums last friday that it would be released on the 11th, but sadly no one paid much attention. Next time I have leaked info who do I need to contact?

I think anything posted on the Forums is taken with a grain of salt unless screenshots and/or pics are attached. Even then its all hearsay until official.

Good to know you are legit though!

That would be a major kick in the **** if they don't go 3/32. Been waiting two months to switch from Sprint for this phone. Now may have to go Verizon.

If that 50% off a gwatch is for real. That would be hard to pass up. Was waiting on the moto 360, but gwatch for$115 or so and I'm buying.

Wonder if that deal (if confirmed) works with next. Or only 2 year contracts.

it works with Next plans as well.

I wasn't going to get the G Watch but now I am. If I hate it, I'll just sell and still make money off it.

Ok AT&T folks help me out here. Trying to figure out AT&T's plans. They advertise 3 Lines and 10 GB's of shared family plan data for $145 but it seems to be the only way to get that price is to get a Next Plan which means you're spreading the full cost of the phone(s) over the length of the contract in addition to that $145 (basically eliminating any subsidy.)

So there is no way to actually get the $145 a month advertised price. Is that correct?

LOL, I actually had the same info as you before you posted but I wasn't even thinking about logging in on the 4th. I did log in later and confirm what you posted, but again no one really paid attention. IDGAF if anyone believes me or not or if my post gets any attention, you shouldn't let it bother you either.

Correct. The $145 prices are basically if you bring your own phone. That price is with the normal subsidy price taken out.
So you need to add $15 - $20 a month subsidy and $199 down (2 year contract). Or on the next plan it is no money down but $25 or $30 a month (18 or 12 months).

The big diffrence: with the 2 year contract at the end you own the phone free and clear. With the next plan, your basically renting the phone. After a Year you can just trade it in and get a new one. (or pay off the diffrence to keep it i believe)

For me personally I like the convience of the next plan, Basically renting the phone and getting a new one every year. (or buying a phone out right and getting the cheeper rate).

I appreciated your post as did others! Looks like you were spot on for 7/11 availability date! Thanks again!

Thanks. I'm already on AT&T with 2 lines and was looking to add another family member so I was looking for the best option. This is a bit off topic I know, but the thing I don't like about the idea of the Next Plan (renting the phone) is the subsidy price is already built into your monthly payments as it is so not only are they getting you to pay the subsidy but you're also paying the subsidy twice just by making monthly payments. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong.

Oh well I can still add a third under the normal contract with 10 gigs of data for 220 which is better than the 290 I'm paying for one phone on sprint and two on AT&T.

They discount your bill by the subsidy amount that would normally be there when your on the next plan. Or in our example. 3 lines on the next plan is $145 (thats with subsidy removed). 3 lines on normal two year contract would be like $205 (figure like $20 subsidy per line). Not exact figures but you get the idea.
