LG G3 on ART

Could someone who hasn't switched to art on a LG G3 try running the Raceview app? It keeps crashing on load on my G3, but I didn't try it before switching to art....

Thanks

Just tried it and it worked ok

Is there a downside to switching to ART? I just don't know what it is but it sounds like it is a better way to go. Can you switch back easily if it doesn't work?

Some apps don't work in ART yet. Some of the Final Fantasy games and Xposed Framework come to mind right off the top of my head, there's probably several more.

No Bluetooth issues for me on art. Worked like a charm with two simultaneous bt items with screen on or off. Flawless has been how it's been for me on everything

Phone is almost buttery smooth on ART, not perfect, but updates will take care of the rest. Really doesn't bother me at all, this thing is a beast of a phone.

Just noticed that when you install xposed framework it throws you back to dalvik as its not compatible with Art runtime.

Rooted already? I won't root till I pass the 14 day window and have to keep it lol

Yup but uninstalled Xposed and running back on ART again, until there is a fix.

If your planning on keeping it then what is stopping you?

Or you still on the fence?

I just have to get over my HTC addiction lol. Was going to get the M8 (which is very nice) but I just needed a change.

After buying my daughters G2 i wanted to hold off on the M8 till i could get my hands on the G3. I'm really liking the G3 though and I'm pretty sure I'll keep it

I'm pretty sure you'll keep it to lol rooting is easy with towelroot but in some instances that doesn't work (not sure if its sprint)

But there is no hurry developers will still be hard at work creating recoveries and ROMs.

I rooted in preparation & with root alone you can do a few tweaks :-)

I had to disable ART my device was freezing and acting up so far it seems to have stabilized

Oh mine is running smooth on Art but then again it was running smooth on Dalvik too

How do you turn on art?

Sent from my T-Mobile Carrier locked LG G3 without root or anything like that. :)
btw, I'm a girl.

It's in the developers option under settings. You first have to activate the developer mode. Go to...

Settings
About phone
Software info
Then tap build 7 times

When done properly your phone will dub you a developer.

Also note that your phone will reboot and re-build all your apps. The process takes a decent amount of time depending on how much stuff you have installed. For me it was about 20 minutes.
