LG G3 spec and poster revealed

Then why does G3 fall behind in ALL graphics related benchmarks?

Benchmarks are not just numbers ,they give the performance of a device under certain workload (I.e the benchmark)

G3 is worse than G2(in that regard) and that's a fact .

I haven't seen or looked at the numbers but will there be a real world noticeable performance difference between them?

That's arguably the real test that people have to perform. The most relevant 'benchmark' is the one with the phone in your hand doing what you need your phone to do. I take reviews and numerical 'performance' metrics and especially advice from forums with a big grain of salt. It helps inform my decision but doesn't make it for me.

They are kind of like movie reviews. The reviewers get into so much detail that doesn't translate into real world matters. Movie reviewers get into flat and round characters, character development, etc, most of which the average viewer wouldn't even notice.

Ppeople are actually getting defensive about the G3 because they have their little hearts set on buying it and are turning a blind eye to the simple fact that the 805 (In Qualcomm's own words) was designed to push the new 2K standard.. and common sense would tell you that the 801/330 simply was not designed with 1440P in mind back in 2013 when it was on the drawing board. LG should have just kept their original release cycle in the fall instead of trying to rush this device to market 4 months too soon with the intention of getting closer to Samsung and HTC's release cycle.. What a fatal flaw this will turn out to be, unless LG swallows their pride and releases their own Prime / Updated version of the G3 this fall with the proper 805/420 that was meant to power this level of device. If you don't mind the occasional lags you are going to get with this version of the G3.. buy it. Like I've stated NO WAY would I drop $700.00+ dollars on this device with what is clearly not the optimal chipset installed.. it just happened to be the ONLY chipset besides the even older 800 SoC available at the time of construction that had any chance to power this device.
That's what makes the 60 day wait sweeter knowing the 805 and possibly even the 808/810 64-Bit SoC's will be in the Prime and Plus models for Samsung & HTC.. Hell, in 30 to 45 days, we will also know a lot more about the Note 4 as well. Since this is not coming until at least the 4th of July here in the United States, we will see what the sales figures turn out to be.. I bet by the 4th of July A LOT of folks will realize what is just over the horizon and NOT blow $700.00+ dollars on a G3 that performs slower than a 2013 G2.

Good Read,
Thanks for the link... I know for me there was NOTHING in that article that would change my mind about spending that $700.00 - $800.00 ( Tax.. Case.. Screen Protector ) on a G3 that's slower than a 2013 G2.. it only enforces my personal beliefs that the warmed over 800/801 simply was not designed with 1440P in mind since a G3 is Slower than last year's G2.. whichever 5.5" Quad-HD device I purchase, it certainly will not be running just an 801 Chipset. Even though I currently own an LG G-Pad 8.3, The G3 is a "No Go" for this Gentleman's $700.00 - $800.00 bucks.. That's way too much money to spend on a phone that performs slower than last year's model.

Those on or considering T-Mobile should know that, you can get the G2 for $386.00 or $484.00 outright..
Since it's now proven to be faster than the upcoming G3.. and you can save hundreds of dollars on what is still considered a GREAT and BALANCED device, I would not dismiss it quickly.. and remember, if you don't have 20/20 - 20/10 vision, at normal viewing distances you are not going to be able to tell the difference from 1080P and 1440P anyway.. And the G2's screen is so vivid and nice.. if you have yet to check out the device in person I strongly suggest you do so since $386.00 sounds a whole lot better for a faster device than $700.00+ for the slower one.

Welp, that settles it... Guess everybody here should just fully avoid the G3.

Yep, wait till it comes out. I'm sure the G3 is going to impress.

The real question is why does everybody get so heated when discussing a piece of technology?

Lots of fanboys to stir the pot. The device isn't even in their hands and they will tell you its no good.

But you have Qualcomm promoting the 805 soc and how amazing it performance is with higher res screen. Lg wanted to compete with HTC n Sammy at time. If they would have waited till late summer to itv would have the 805
And you know this from trying a G3 with an 805 / 420?

That's what I don't get. People act like they've tried a G3 with that combo and it was flawless and then lg never released it ..

If Qualcomm never mentioned anything more than an 801, there would be no complaints.
