LG G3 Wireless Qi charging

One of the reasons I decided to purchase the G3 was it was supposed to be compatible with QI wireless chargers. Now I am told that a special backplate is required ans Sprint does not have them. I have been unable to locate one online. Does anyone have an idea as to where to find one?
Forget the overpriced cases or replacement battery doors. Just rip off the NFC sticker and put on a NFC/Qi sticker

PRE-ORDER: Qi/NFC Wireless Charging Sticker … | LG G3 | XDA Forum

I just sold out of the first batch of stickers. I'm going to make available a 2nd batch sometime next week once I start shipping out the first batch.

Very cool!

Any ability to get the NFC + Powermat stickers for us unfortunate AT&T subscribers? ;)
From what I know, there are no Powermat stickers that I know of. I did read somewhere they someone was working on it. If I can find out who, I will see if I can acquire some.

Confirmed, thanks!

I have a second Circle case on the way, and was going to try to take the NFC + Powermat sticker out of that and put it in the stock back, will let you guys know how that works out...

(My first one has the front cut off per my previous post, so not a perfect solution, there is a gap on the left side and you can see where I cut the front off. Does the trick for now.)

I successfully transplanted the circle case PMA sticker to the original back plate on an at&t g3. I out a post up yesterday about it if anyone needs guidance. Highly suggest as the circle case is annoying to me at least.

IMHO I like the circle case.

Someone posted this in another thread about Qi wirless charging but so it is here to:

These folks seem to be selling a Qi charging sticker that you can use to replace the NFC only sticker in the back of your phone. The US variant is style 1 I believe. As far as I can tell this will not activate Qi charging on the At&T version.

I have a thread on XDA. I took preorders for 100 stickers and sold out in 24 hours. I just got the 100 and will be shipping it out end of this week. I just ordered another 200 and should have it next week. Preorders for the 2nd batch will open end of this week as well.

This is good news I ordered. Of all the so called problems the G3 supposedly has(I have no problems) the lack of wireless charging bugs me the most.

Sorry if this is a silly question. I'm an AT&T customer and am happy overall with my plan. I would like to buy a G3, but don't want the AT&T version with PMA charging because I already have Qi devices for my Nexus 5. Could I purchase a G3 outright from T-Mobile and simply install the AT&T SIM into it? I considered an international version of the phone, but I understand they don't communicate with the USA 4G/LTE bands. Any tips are very much appreciated.

Just received this back cover for my Verizon LG G3 and it's working great on my wireless orbit charger from nexus 4

If you're looking on Amazon, beware of the backs claiming they support QI charging sold by "The Book Store :-)" as they are just the stock OEM T-Mobile backs. They are falsely advertised in both the images and description and the guy is playing dumb about not knowing they weren't QI supported.

my att back cover looks like the style 2. would it still not work even though the pins match? if it doesn't, i'm very upset. im on tmo but bought an att for cheap and got it unlocked. i thought they were all the same; i even looked up their differences and no one mentioned this issue with the wireless charging pins. so stupid that i'm tmo but can't use my qi charger because of att restrictions

you can get old blackberry powermat kits for 5 bucks on ebay.

I just ordered two they come with a 1x mat.

So i got 2 of them for 10$ and just threw away the receiver and voila i have 2 pma chargers for 10 bucks

so quick complaining just buy both pads and you will always have what you need

I got my G3 yesterday with Tmobile. I thought I read recently that you cannot use the phone while wireless charging, but I cannot find where I read that. I would like to use something like the air dock to charge wirelessly in the car but also use the phone to listen to music at the same time.

Can anyone confirm whether or not I will be able to use the phone while wireless charging?

Can't speak to T-Mobile version specifically, but my VZW has full function while wirelessly charging. This message being written from it while charging on a Tylt Vu. Made a test phone call too.

You can use the phone however you want while charging. It just still has to be making contact with the charger. And be careful you aren't pulling more juice than the charger is giving.
