All has settled down now but battery life is definitely poorer on M. Screen on time is under 3 hours for me but L began like that so hopefully a few updates can fix it.
Another thing I've noticed since M is that the camera has got very slow to take a picture. It's gone from almost instant to having a 2-3 second delay after pressing the shutter button.

After using MM for several weeks, SOT is about the same as before but standby is amazing, amusingly the battery meter actually goes up a notch at times when the screen is off for a bit 
I wonder if those who find that their SOT is lower are using Lux to control screen brightness or not; LG states in the MM changelog that they changed the built-in autobrightness and it seems to default to slightly higher brightness. (I have used Lux on both LP and MM). I haven't noticed any focusing slow-down in the camera app. I feel they did a good job on the first MM release, but I expect many small things to get ironed out with future revisions.

i upgraded my lg g4, 4 days ago... (v20a-EUR-XX) what a nightmare the battery is dead after 7 hours without using my smartphone, I use it for 2 hours just to browser the internet with the wifi and loose 60% !! I disconnected sync and location and reset the device completely, it still the same, the back of my phone is quickly very hot .. My phone was perfectly working with android 5,1 what a nightmare... Do you have any ideas to help ? thanks...

Yes, post some screen shots of battery life. Most likely an app is running rogue.

Maybe factory reset. Or give it a day or two. Devices can run bad with a new update and it turns out fine later.
Just happened with my g watch. Battery drain after update. Next day ran fine. Now it lasts 2 full days of constant use.

Needed factory reset to sort battery out. Fine now doze works

I am having the same issue as WUMPS13 am in the UK international version from amazon...
wished i didnt upgrade to MM and stayed on LP. Its been over a week now and the phone is ok but battery life is worst and the phone gets very warm if i use it for any amount of time WhatsApp, checking AC via the app, browsing. If i could go back to LP i would instantly as i didnt have these issues

It will improve, especially if you reset. I have some battery screens I took yesterday I've been meaning to post, it does get better.

If it's the AT&T variant, you won't get Marshmallow until AT&T rolls it out.
Unlocked, you might try.

Alright, something to talk about.
I noticed that Nova Prime redraws more than usual on mine. Heck, it has never redrawn on L.
I checked the memory usage and it seems to be higher than L. No idea why.

Still not seeing an OTA or LG Bridge update. I've got a H815 unbranded variant (TWN which I believe is from Taiwan) and I'm in Europe, UK.
Anyone else not got the update yet?
