LG G4 H815 Android Marshmallow update rollout and initial impressions

Using my phone a lot since getting up today. 3 days after M update...battery life just as good as on L.
From 100% to 24% battery with almost 3 hours 30 min sot.

Did you have to do a factory reset after the update? I've heard of a lot of crappy battery life without the reset. Thanks!

Received MM update here in Singapore last night.

Its named as v20c-sea-xx, file size 880mb.

Honestly it still feels and looks like lollipop. Only changes i saw is when i opened settings.

One of the highlights is battery life improvement. Lets see.

No reset. Thought I'd give it a try before doing that. Hate doing resets.

wow your screen is 4 h 32 min .... WOW but how ?

Screen on time hours depend on a lot of factors. For example, the dimmer you use your screen, the less battery is uses. If you have your screen turn off times reduced, that also helps. If you don't have apps turning on your screen whenever a notification comes, that also helps.
It's something really hard to replicate because it changes according to the user and how he/she uses the phone.

The carrier AT&T has started to roll out the Marshmallow update.

But I'm not using an AT&T sim card (I'm out of the united states). Can I get the update via LG Bridge? Or will my phone get the notification from AT&T anyway?

Its been a few days since the MM update. From past experience, phone is generally crappy after a major firmware update. I'm going to give it a few more days then I'll do a hard reset.

Seems alright so far, but I can't really see a lot of difference.

Try using Google Now On Tap. I'm starting to find this a real game-changer. I had to consciously remind myself to use it at first but I'm already finding it hard to imagine life without it. It's not perfect yet but it's pretty damn good.

Smart Lock appears to be broken after 6.0

I use my Moto 360 as a trusted device to unlock my G4. Wont work all of a sudden, have to enter my pin every time. Irritating.

Probably been over two months and the update now has made me start looking for different handset preferable Nexus device as this gets way too hot when using it and battery hasn't gotten any better probably worst

Battery is getting better!
100% to 33% with over 6 hours sot! Mainly just web browsing and news reading on Wi-Fi. 40996.jpg

I've never got 6sot from my g4, usually get an honest 4 and half hrs. After the MM update, I was getting my usual 16+ hrs with about 4is sot. I decided to do and clean wipe and install and it's gotten much better sot

Here's my time up with sot
