Wow keystone, those images in the first post are really outstanding. Did you use the stock camera app or did you use a camera app off the market that has more features? I've tried taking some pictures through the stock app and they never seem to come out like yours. Maybe I just shake a lot when trying to hold the camera still or there isn't good lighting. Any suggestions?

Those pics were from the stock camera app. You have to have alot of light because you dont have a flash gotta compensate? understand? haha show some examples of some of the pics you took and I will give some more suggestions.

Pro HDR Camera force closes as soon as I try to open it on my Optimus V. I'm running AOSP CM7 2.3.3. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting, and got same results. Any tricks to making this thing run?

The macro photography on the Optimus V are great.

Check out MIUI Camera app, it's got some great settings.

Pro HDR works well for me but i'm running stock.

(people moved between my two shots, hence the blur on them. But the rainbow stayed put

According to the Opanda EXIF information it did come from the Optimus V.

I know this was a while back but I really want to get rid of the shutter sound and I am not finding it anywhere. I am rooted and I tried looking with and without usb debugging on. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok nevermind I think I go the sounds deleted. I hated that clicking noise. This is my favorite photo taken with the phone so far. Its my wife at a beach here in Connecticut. With some adjustments from picsaypro.
