Yeah just hit the little circle while recording to get photos as well. I'll try to post the vid when I get home and am on WiFi.

Also the sound quality in dealing with bass is nowhere near as good as the iPhone 6. But this thing DESTROYS iPhone in every other category. Main reason I switched was the joke that is iPhone low light photos and vids. This phone is awesome.

Very cool. Did you tinker with any of the manual sound options to see if audio improved or did you stick to auto? I can't wait to try this out at a concert or music setting.

I have not. Auto video was so improved over what I was used to that I didn't want to mess with it until I get used to it more. I'll def check manual out though.

We've had a relatively and surprisingly warm winter but after the new year winter has become a real thing. Edited in VSCO. uploadfromtaptalk1452087154724.jpg

Still very nice for auto mode! You can get the closest with the manual focus set all the way down to its closest point and slowly move into focus.

My problem is learning the shutter speed and Iso and how to set them. I'm a noob to those settings.

Just play around with the settings and watch how they affect the shot since we get live preview on the screen. ISO is the sensitivity of the sensor to light. In bright sunny days a very low ISO is needed because there is plenty of light avaiable. In low light you want to increase the ISO to compensate for less light but higher ISO levels introduce more noise or grain into your shots. This can only be circumvented with large sensors and wide aperture lenses found mostly on DSLRs and interchangeable lens cameras or keeping the ISO low but increasing the shutter speed which is what I have displayed for my low light shots in this thread. Also shutter speeds in daylight tend to be high most of the time because of the ample light available. Lower shutter speeds allow the sensor to capture more light. You will need a tripod or something to keep your phone steady for any type of long exposure shot. You can get away with 1/4 to 1/2 seconds if you can hold steady because of the optical image stabilization. You can also manipulate these factors to create a shot that's not even there in reality like making a scene darker or lighter than what it is. For really long exposure shots, you may need a nd8 filter to control overexposing highlights. And if you want to do some long exposure shots in daylight(which I'll be trying later this year) you need a more dense filter to block more of the light out. But the more you play with the settings the more you'll understand what you can do with them.

WOW...thank you so much for the info. How do they pull off the pictures at night where the car lights are light trails? I want to try that so bad.

It's right in the reply above. Also check out some of my posts in the thread. I explain what settings I used to achieve the results. 👌

This one for example was taken using a tripod. Exposure or shutter speed set for 30 seconds. ISO at 50. Manual focus. And I used an nd8 filter to catch some of the light so it wouldn't be overexposed. Edited in PhotoShop Express.uploadfromtaptalk1452116734295.jpg

Thank you. I did read and see your posts....I just got confused. Lol
No worries.lol And by the way you don't need an nd8 filter for long exposure photography. As long as you aren't shooting directly into incoming traffic you can use exposures of 1-15 seconds with no problems.

A couple failed low light attempts tonight. Didn't have all my gear with me and tried to make do. Got close though. :) Didn't bother editing. uploadfromtaptalk1452217640662.jpguploadfromtaptalk1452217649372.jpguploadfromtaptalk1452217658992.jpg
