Yeah thank God. The angels were watching over him. Wow. Also the shots came out surperb.

is there a color saturation setting? or vivid mode? some of the shots i have seen could use a very slight color punch.

No there isn't any of those kind of modes. Most of those shots can be slightly adjusted in manual mode or a quick touch up in post processing.
