ok, so question:
my pc is 64 bit capable. i am wanting to work on both jb and kk on this device (in order of course). should i go with the 64 bit version of ubuntu, or the 32 bit? Keep in mind, i have never used ubuntu for more than data recovery, so i dont know much about it, and would rather have a simple answer.
https://app.box.com/s/amqdeglo8zla5vqt570h cwm for gingerbread. you need this [LINK REMOVED FROM QUOTE] if you need to factory reset, which will result in a recovery loop. flash the exitrecovery.zip, it works. backup-restore works also.
i had to modify the script, which is why i took credit. is it still plagiarism? actually, youre right, whoever is responsible for creating the postrecovery.sh script should recieve credit, as im not crediting nor is anyone crediting the updater-script.
You're claiming ownership over a script that's not yours and you took Tyler's copyright out of the script which is a like a kick in the face after the fact that all you did was create a update-script so I'm gonna kindly ask that you take it down.
Anyway I submitted a fix to Josh's repo anyway that automatically includes the script when building the recovery.
Edit: Fix as well as some other novelties.

i built my recovery with this same info you submitted. i grabbed it from open cannibals device tree. i compiled nearly 20 recoveries lol. some with cm7 and some with cm10. all of them recovery loop when factory reseted from stock. i think its gb specific although this problem doesnt occur with joshs twrp build for gb, which i built the same model/branch of and it did...$(call inherit-product, $(SRC_TARGET_DIR)/product/languages_full.mk) # The gp - Pastebin.com is my device.mk, and i will readd tyler to keep my link until cwm (gb) w/o the recovery loop issue is resolved.
The script in the zip you posted is the same exact script that's https://github.com/ProjectOpenCanni...0/blob/clockwork/recovery/postrecoveryboot.sh which has been in that repo since June 16, 2012 without the copyright. I don't know what you modified other than taking out the copyright, but yeah you should take it down.
Edit: Yeah, I just viewed them side-by-side and they're the same exact thing.

i apologize, lol. this is where i grabbed the the .sh (no tyler.) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s...JydyqiH5IPqJ7EeDKWV-WQk5pRg&expiry=1400017353
is where i grabbed the exitrecovery.zip. i will take my name out also, lol.
Fine with that, just put his copyright back in it as I stated. That's the rule when working with open source projects, it's generally frowned upon by the community to remove the copyright, and/or license from the source.
*salutes* Get an S5 xD, we need people to make PAC rom xDDD
