I keep having this little gem popup on my screen. You remove the charger and a little blue square with battery percentage, a cutesy charge status bar with standby continuous and protected shows up. already scrubbed apps, and removed all suspicious files. But I get the thing coming up still. It acts like a picture over picture. I'll upload a screen shot. MAKE IT GO AWAY!

Its sporadic but not active (afik) in safe mode. Probably a bios bug? Whatcha think? Its new to me and I can't seem to source it. I'm fairly illiterate but I can certainly provide any information you need.

It really looks like some 3rd party feature, but it can be difficult to track down (and not having a V30 myself, I can't say for sure this isn't some native feature). Since it's drawing over the screen, you can try checking which apps have permission to do that. Go to Settings>Apps>Special App Access>Display Over Other Apps, and see if any unusual apps have this permission. Concentrate on apps you may have installed recently.

I don't have the V30, but I do have the V20 and a G4 before that. I've never seen anything like this on the lock screen. I doubt it's a stock feature. That "protected" icon looks like it's from an anti-malware app, so I'd look at any of those you might have on your phone. It's common for them to have extra stuff like that.

If you have anything from Cheetah Mobile installed, get rid of it immediately. The same goes for any DU apps.

Found it! I had to remove my ad blocking software to discover it. An app I downloaded for the usefulness and never used was chao translate. The ad blocking software did its job blocking ads and just posted their bullsh*T "charge" screen which was supposed to include an ad because it was built in. The ad would then take me to the app and once finding the source I eliminated it. Thankyou for the help. But share around in case someone else has the oddity of an adblocker helping but also hindering. Ugh. Now to repair all the hasty deleting I did.

To note I did attempt this and locked out all apps I was using. As my final post would reflect I never used the translate app so i never suspected it.

Great, I'm glad you found it, and thanks for letting us know which app it was! That's a very interesting situation -- I never thought of an ad blocker blocking only the ad portion of an app's "feature.":)

Nice bit of detective work on your part. Thanks for the solution.
