[LINK][ROM]CM7 Thunderbolt.RC1.4 + 1.5.2 Updated 8/6/11

Re: [LINK][ROM] CM7 for Thunderbolt. RC1.4 Updated 7-29 11:20PM E

The reason it hasn't been added as an OFFICIAL device for cyanogenMod is becuase freaking HTC wont release the RIL code, so it is taking them longer to decode and rebiuld.... RIL: 1. (n.) Radio Interface Layer.

I see that HTC have released source code for their phones. HTCdev - HTC Kernel Source Code and Binaries
Does this now speed up the process to CM adding the Bolt as a supported device?

I saw the news earlier and I think team Bamf is going crazy too... time will tell on what good will become of all ROMs

Is anyone having porblems with reception? I am using MR2.5 and I am having horrible reception compare to Sense based roms.

What kind of reception issues are you seeing? Keep in mind that on Sense ROMs the signal bars show the strength of your voice connection while AOSP ROMs show the strength of the data connection.

Wifi- I am sitting right next to the router and I am only getting one bar.
Data- In a place where I would normally have full bars, I only have one bar. (Your explaination might answer this one.)

Have you tried the official MR2 radio? It was released after the MR2.5 leak and may work better for you.

Edit: link to radios

Yeah, I was originally using that one. In hopes of getting a better signal I upgraded to MR2.5 and nothing changed. Do you think I should go for the fresh install of everything?

I didn't have good results with MR2.5, while MR2 has been running well for me. I'd try flashing MR2 first and see if that improves things before going for a clean install of the ROM.

Is the source for the current, official Froyo release? Would be surprised if HTC has released GB source. Now that would make everyone's day. :)

Looks like it's the MR2. The other radio is a more recent leaked radio that was part of a leaked Gingerbread update. The official MR2 will show a baseband version with the number .0627r in Settings/About Phone after you flash.

Ok, thanks for all of your help!

Well I'm an official CM snob. I've flashed a couple ROMs over the past few days and i keep coming back. I hope the above mentioned helps this become an official release.

Just thought I would share....

I tried to update from RC1.4 to 1.5.2 by wiping just the cache and dalvik cache and everything seemed to be good except for some bluetooth issues. My bluetooth headset would pair but never connect. After trying everything else I had to do a full wipe fix the issue.

Thats why 99.9 percent of the time of full wipe is recommended... until CM7 is official for the thunderbolt and has nightlies, we can or can take the chance of only partial wiping... I got lucky with a partial

I am the same way... I test almost every ROM out, (so I can help and answer questions for people about the ROM) but I use adw ex... SO, even on a sense based rom, it still looks like every ROM i flash, only major differences are the dropdown notification bars, battery life, and "tool kits" ;) I HATE the sense skin and everything about sense, thats why I always use ADW ex for a new rom

I did a backup of my adw settings and desktop config on cm7 before going to PUR3AO5PTH3ORY 1.2.2x. When I did my restore my settings seemed to restore but not my desktop. Do you have good luck backing up and restoring? This is thru the stock adwlauncher that comes with the ROM, should I purchase EX to get better results?
