[LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.6 (8/06/11)

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.4 (7/22/11)

I'm pretty sure 'android system' jumps to the top when I've been on the phone a bit. Usually that doesn't happen.... :)
But the last couple of days I've had some longish ones and noticed 'android system' jumping back to the top. Can anyone verify this?
according to some posts on xda the update should be soon. a beta tester said his latest rev is running smoothly without bugs. so hopefully that means soon.

Same here, calling bumps Android System up.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Making backup, downloading... will install shortly... and I updated the Title and text of the first post... good to see v2.5 is out.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Had to do an old trick to get this to work... tried 4 different Radios, after a complete wipe of data, cache, and Dalvik cache... still nothing... tried doing another complete wipe of data, cache, and Dalvik cache, then another complete install... finally remember the old trick.

Make a backup of v2.5, flashed back to Sense ROM, lock on GPS through Navigation, started ROM Manager with the Navigation locked on still, flashed back to v2.5 backup... worked.

LTB v2.5 does have Navigation after I downloaded Google Maps from the Market.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

I've read a few very good recommendations on RootzWiki about upgrading or coming from a different ROM...

1) Turn on your GPS... get a good lock on your location with Navigator.
2) Start ROM Manager
3) Reboot into Recovery
4) Backup ROM
5) Wipe Data, Cache and Dalvik Cache
6) Load new ROM.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

This was my first AOSP rom and it was, for me, just awful. I liked some parts of it, but random lock ups and reboots lead me back to my BAMF restore.

That's too bad... if you don't mind me asking... how much trouble shooting did you do... did you even attempt to load a different Radio or do you mind sharing what radio you where using??? Or is this just a fly by night post??? And I'm sure there was no way you loaded the ROM without wiping data, cache and Dalvik cache... AND did NOT use Titanium Backup to reinstall your System files???

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Loaded this up last night, and i quite like it. The option of installing the MIUI camera was flat out awesome!

I'm using the OTA MR2 and of course wiped data, system, cache, and dalvik twice, like always. Sorry for my slightly angry first post I just really wanted this to work and stayed up till midnight trying to get it all working :) I'll probably try again today and see what happens.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Giggity giggity. Looks like I won't be doing any work this morning.

*Edit: Maybe not. This ROM did not play well at all with my phone. I wiped completely, flashed the ROM, and then it stuck me in a reboot loop every time I tried to sign into my Google account. Probably a radio issue or something - didn't have much time to troubleshoot - but it was a discouraging start to my day considering how pumped I was to see 2.5 was out.

I'll re download the file, go through the process again to make sure I didn't miss anything, and with any luck attempt no. 2 will have more success.

Initially I had the .6275r radio... and just recently changed back to Chingy's (1.46.00.0704w_2) Radio after having very good luck with this radio for while... I'm going to run with Chingy's radio for a while and test.

I switched to Chingy's radio, and triple wiped my system and I was able to get past all of the setup prompts. But then the ROM seemed buggy - it was locking up and restarting every 15 minutes or so. I could probably try it out with a different kernel, but at this point it didn't seem worth it and I'm now rotating between CM7 and LTB 2.4.

It's a shame too, I really liked 2.4. I'll probably spend some time over the weekend trying to get it all ironed out, but I did not expect this level of problems.

Sorry to hear that... LTB 2.4 was too buggy for me... I could not get any type of GSP lock or find Navigator, unlike 2.5 for me.

I've never had a reboot issue with any version of LTB... and I used v2.2, 2.3 and tried 2.4... and now I've been up on 2.5 since Sunday morning.

So I liked 2.4 but it didn't work for you ... 2.5 is working for you but not for me.

*shakes fist*

I guess we'll go to the rubber match with 2.6 lol.

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

I installed this rom and I like it a lot but I have a question...why does the android system use up soooo much battery?

Sorry, I have no idea... have you let it settle a while... and rebooted it at least once a few hours after it settled???

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Yea I let it settle because I fell asleep after install and I have rebooted also..idk

You could always change radio's... it's a quick change... what radio do you have installed???

Re: [LINK][ROM] Liquid Thunderbread v2.5 (7/30/11)

Flashed this ROM over the weekend and love it. Only problem I have is the new market app. It's crap. Any way to go back to the old style market? I can't update my apps as there isn't an option to do so. Google+ shows as having an update, but no way I have found to install the update.

GPS, 4g, 3g, all works wonderfuly on the released MR2 radio .0627r for me.

EDIT: NVM, did a force close on Market and it is fine now, still crap, but working crap. I like my crap working.
