+++ Liquid Smooth Roms 3.2 for Multiple Devices +++

i appreciate the response. have flashed roms neumerous times following those very directions and have never had a problem. however when i recently tried to flash MUIU and now this i reboot at the end of all the required steps and the bamf cubed boot screen comes up and it stalls. i can flash cm7 with no isuue or any other sense rom but these two are leaving me stumped. any advice? thanks again.
I'm experiencing the same problem. Tried the usual method of flashing a rom, and I can't get it to work. Always stuck at the boot screen. The difference with me is that I never flashed MUIU at all, and am coming from a Das Bamf rom. Really confused, and am about to give up and start looking for another rom to install. It's too bad, because this Liquid Smooth Roms 3.2 looks damn good.

Once you've nandroided to your backup open Rom Manager and make sure ClockworkMod version is 5.0.2.1 If it is some older version you may need to update CWM before flashing this rom.

Rom can't recognize similar card. I've cleared cache and dalvik. Reflashed and slid the similar card out. Still nothing. Anyone else?

Sim card. Don't know what happened there!

First, do a backup of this ROM... then I assume you made a backup of your old ROM before you flashed this one... restore the old ROM you say worked with your SIM card and see if it's actually the ROM or the SIM Card. I have not heard of anyone having issues with this ROM and their SIM Card.

Anyone having issues with Wireless tethering in this ROM? I ran into some problems setting up a secure hotspot when I had this ROM installed the other day.

I had a similar issue. It did not recognize the sim card or my sd card. All I did was reboot and its been fine ever since.

Had trouble initially with the wifi hotspot. I had to make the connection unsecured first, then I was able to secure the network and reconnect. Weird I know but now its works fine.

Kimmy, when booting up the day after, do you let your phone settle in a specific amount of time or do you go right into it? I'm thinking this might be the problem as I'm a little impatient. I've flashed this rom 3 times and the day after it's always the same problem.

I reinstalled ROM, applied all the fixes from the bug post, and still when I setup my hotspot I get an unsecured connection and no internet. This is a must for me so this ROM is a no-go till I can find a solution.

Is your recovery up to date?
Late response here, but apparently it was because of a corrupted download of the zip.

I had Liquid Smooth up an running and I thought it was an awesome alternative to the BAMF rom I've been using all this time. I'm not really missing htc sense at all after what I've seen with this AOSP rom. I was ready to commit to using this rom (even said "screw waiting for ICS"), until I checked navigation and noticed that my GPS was not working anymore.

I googled the problem and one solution I read said that i'm suppose to a GPS fix involving flashing a sense rom and then flashing back to Liquid Smooth? BTW I didn't do a backup for recovery, because I didn't install much of anything on Liquid Smooth and was willing to start from scratch after the GPS was fixed.

So I installed my old gingerbread BAMF rom, but GPS was still not working.... ???!! Not only that, but my 3G and 4G stopped working too. I would mostly get 1x and occasionally 3G kicks in after minutes and minutes of waiting. 4G never made a reappearance.

I thought something happened to my radio during the wiping and the flashing and junk, so I installed a gingerbread radio from the many options that are linked. Honestly have to say that I just blindly chose the latest gingerbread radio, because I assumed that should just work. I ended up trying out many different PG05IMG.zips, but still nothing worked.

Short of being able to flash a rom and know how to get to the boot manager; as I mentioned before, I'm generally a newb when it comes to root. Now, I'm stuck with what is essentially a 4.3'' tablet with wifi, some 3G, and no GPS. Man, I feel like I'm so in over my head right now, not understanding a lot of the root jargon that I come up with on my searches, and would really appreciate step by step directions on what I should try to do next to fix this problem. I don't even know how to revert everything back to BEFORE I rooted it, or possibly turn it back into a fresh root and start from the beginning all over again. :'(

The GPS is only a little more complex than flashing a Sense ROM, then restoring your AOSP ROM... I've done this numerous times and it's worked... of course make a current backup, restore a Sense ROM or flash a Sense ROM, start the Navigator app, get a lock of GPS by putting in an address or find a contact's address, leave the Navigator app running, reboot into Recovery, restore AOSP ROM... GPS will work.

Next, your 3G or 4G... sounds like you did not update your radio... what Radio version are you running... Settings > About phone > look around possible under software information for "Baseband version"... currently I'm using 1.48.00.0906w_1, 0.01.78.0906w_2 which is working just great with most any Gingerbread ROM.... and if you don't know how to flash a radio you should look at the "[Tbolt] How to for ROMs" link in my signature below.... and the "Latest Radio's" link for what version you have.

Does anyone know how to get the icons in dock to be in color like they are in the screenshots? I can't figure it out.

First off, Thank you to everyone here in this forum, you all are very helpful and a credit to the rooting community. As I'm writing this, my 4G, 3G, and GPS are working on my Thunderbolt with Liquid Smooth. I think it would help others (particularly the noobs like myself) if I post here how I got my problem fixed.

Now the funny thing is that what's been suggested to me regarding my GPS problem, from the Sense workaround trick, to having the proper radios, are all actions that I've tried already. As I mentioned earlier, things went desperate for me when I couldn't get a GPS or 4G connection in the Sense ROM that I flashed. If it doesn't work there, what hope did I have of getting it to work in Liquid Smooth right?

The solution to my problem turned out to oddly be a general life lesson. Patience.

So what happened was that while I was reading up all I can read about my problem online, I left my phone on, running the Sense ROM I flashed, while the signal was on that dreaded 1x. Five minutes rolls by, then ten minutes, then about roughly fifteen minutes later, I noticed that I now had 4G on. I don't know if it's a normal thing for it to take that long to kick in, but I'm not going to complain. I rebooted the phone to see if it happens again, and sure enough the 4G automatically just shows up.

Surprised with that result, I then opened up Navigation and gave it a direction to follow, but it still stayed on "searching for GPS." It still wasn't working? Well you know how when you turn on GPS at home, it should still detect you anyway (When it's properly working that is)? Well I decided on that idea of what if the GPS satellites actually needs to see me out in the street outside my house first, before it starts behaving like it normally does. Well, that actually got the GPS to work! I even proceeded to drive around the neighborhood, listening to the GPS voice giving me directions, just happy with the fact I have GPS running again. Plus GPS now works even when i'm inside my house.

With 4G/3G/GPS running on the BAMF Sense ROM, I proceeded to do a backup, and then flashed Liquid Smooth. Now I just need to install all my apps and do my configurations. It's good to have a properly working phone again. :D
