The new update has made the P6....... Usable.... But still many frustrating issues.

When logging into my Google account on a pc, Google wants to send a code to the phone for security.

With the P6, the code never comes through. My 3xl did this without an issue.

Tried Google support, after 50 minutes of waiting, got a friendly person..... But they didn't know how to spell P6, let alone have any idea of what I was even talking about. His suggestion was to look at the help files in Google.

Anyone else have this issue or ideas why the code would not come through?

Other texts and notifications come through, just not the ones from Google.

Go to myaccount.google.com on your computer browser, then go to the Security section, then 2-Step Verification. Which methods do you have activated? Are you using the Pixel 6's Security Key?

Also see if code is set to correct number if needs to be updated or email

turned on 2 factor, now I can get it to text me a code......but then still requires a password.

on my P3, when signing into Google on a PC, Google would send 3 numbers to the phone, I would have to hit the number that showed on the PC and it would log me in

Do you have another device its possible going to?

no, flashed the old device and sent it is as a trade in. Google does send text messages to this phone, just not the log in notification. I assume it is a setting somewhere, but I can't find it

Ensure All Google Notifications are turned on

Settings - > Apps - > Google - > Notifications

Also, open Google app on your P6, tap the acct icon in the upper right corner, tap Manage Your Google Acct, Security tab, Signing in to Google

try some of those settings
