Love or Hate your Galaxy Note 3?

Extremely happy with my GN3.

I lost my Verizon unlimited data to get it.
Still happy with phone,
Verizon has made my #### list big time. 2 GB is not enough for someone who does not even download movies and (rarely downloads ) music.
Corporate GREED run amuck. Customer Service ignored.

All phones are except Google ones. Rooting is an easy way to get rid of it ;).

I really like the size of the screen, the battery life and enjoying playing with the very responsive s- pen.

Absolutely love this phone, best I ever had, coming from a one X and a nexus 4.

After I left pure Android, I had strong concerns that I would hate anything else, but I have found a lot to like in TW. Aside from that, and software is the weakest part, it's all amazing.

Incredible phone. In the past six months use had the Z10, S4 Active, HTC One, and LG G2. This is the only one that even comes close to being perfect. Especially with the Gear.

So far, I've owned only two smartphones, so, compared to many of you here, I'm no expert. Hence, my question: how likely is it that a manufacturer eventually is going to take care of resolving problems with their current models? Don't they, at some point, say "screw it," and focus exclusively on something that's still coming down the pike, on testing the pre-releases? I've been holding back, waiting for better deals on Note 3 over the holidays, but I also find the sheer number of complaints about it overwhelming. I honestly don't remember the same about my other two phones, BB Storm and HTC Rezound. Somebody here once suggested to the doubters to wait until the kinks will have been worked out, but does it really ever happen?

The 5S is far from a piece of junk. Just like the note 3 is far from a piece of junk. Both platforms have their benefits, which is why I carry both :)

Agreed. I love the ios platform. I had the 3G, 4s and the 5 and all the upgraded ipads. Now I have it all in one on my note3. :D

It really sux that Big Red stole your unlimited data. I'm very protective of mine! I ask the CSR 2-3 times before/during every upgrade if they're sure that nothing is changing. It doesn't bother me if they start to look annoyed or look at me like I'm paranoid. We have AT&T so as long as I don't make any changes to MY plan, my unlimited will keep getting grandfathered in. So far so good. I'm keeping it as long as I can hold on to it and I'm not going to give them any reason to steal it! I don't mess around with my plan in ANY way!

But, as you pointed out, corporate greed has been running amok for sometime and the words 'customer' and 'service' hardly belong in the same proximity let alone next to each other which is why I won't be surprised if/when a bogus ruse is used to strip unlimited data from those of us who still have it. I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened already. {KNOCKS ON VERY LARGE PIECE OF WOOD}

I thought I would stay with the Galaxy S line as I came from the S3 and loved it. Before that I had an iPhone 4 and was so completely bored with having the exact same looking thing as every other iUser, even after jailbreaking, that I HAD to break the monotony! And Boy, Howdy! I don't know what took me so long! It was very liberating! The S3 felt big then, & I used to be one of those that said I'd never have one of these "ridiculous looking, giant, phablets" but once I was used to the S3, this wasn't too hard if an adjustment and TOTALLY WORTH IT!

I ❤ MY NOTE 3!

Well so so.
Everything is good except a couple of things.
1. It can stutter while playing games that other SD800 devices handle
2. TouchWiz is functional and good looking, but contains bugs such as turning animations off which has to be constantly corrected under developer options.
3. Speaker sound cracks when going loud.

As I said, everything else is great and I'm very happy with it! 😊

I don't play games with my GN3.. Just not my thing.
But I have noticed that the speaker does crack at high volume. It troubles my hearing problem when on the phone.
I suppose it's best to be realistic that this great phone is not perfect.
Still love it...

Loved my note 3 for the first week but now I'm noticing the fact I can't use this at all with out two hands. When I do I actually feel my hand cramp up. Not sure I can continue this for 2 years.. I'm actually torn now what to do while still in my return period.

It's a personal decision you have to make.
I'm curious about how one uses a phone one handed. Even though I have reasonably large hands I have always held my phones in my left hand and used my right hand to interact with them.
Am I not understanding? (all too possible).

you could use that feature that will shrink down the interface, but I know I would not want to do that for a long time

I guess it depends on what you're doing... using the keyboard in 1 hand operation mode would be an alternative to shrinking the whole thing. Also using Nova launcher purine gestures can help with things like pulling down the notification bar, multitasking, etc
