Love that I ditched my iPhone for the Pixel 3 XL except for iMessage

Have her try and change the setting in this pic . Everyone in my family has IPhones but me and the pics they send me suck . The Pics they send are always small and the Video quality is horrid. And I know the Iphone is better that what they send me .

Videos sent over MMS gets degraded by the carrier really badly.

On my iPhone checking this but don’t see More Settings and no advanced either

Yeah I don't think those settings are for iPhone. Probably for some kind of Android phone (I assume Samsung).

Sad to say, but my wife wants to get back to Android but simply refuses because of imessage. She LOVES the camera on my 3XL which are now full of her selfies and such but she says until Android gets a true imessage of it's own she has to stick with the fruit

I do. Not sure about her. Was thinking of making a shared album we could send videos to
My wife is on an iPhone. We have a separate Google account that both of our phones backup pics to in Google photos. So even if she sends me a video that my carrier degrades I can always look at it in Google photos because I'm not switching to the fruit phone.

I'm another one with a wife that uses an iPhone. But she also uses Google Photos and we've taken to that to share pictures with each other. It works really well.

I actually returned my Pixel 3 XL and went back to the iPhone XS Max. My family uses iPhones and iPads to keep in communication with each other and having FaceTime and iMessage works flawlessly for that. I really loved the Pixel 3 XL, but easily communicating with family members is more important for me.

You have to do what is important. Kate and I are fortunate that everyone we know uses Android phones.

At least she's willing to switch. I believe Android to Android has no issue with quality. I get the whole RCS thing. My wife and I are on different carriers so no go.

I was thinking about doing something like this! Like having a shared album we could save pictures and videos too. Does she send certain pics to Google photos or is it all of them?

Definitely what I'll have to do. Love this phone and can't justify going back to iPhone just because of crappy quality photos.

I feel you on that. All my family has iPhones now. I don't talk to any of them though so my wife only matters. That's why I was debating on switching back but it's too much of a hassle. Also, I have no other issues.

That's a great idea. I need to figure that out. Same situation, wife won't change from Apple.

All of them. The Google photos app works pretty much the same on iOS. I have it set so when she's on WiFi it just backs up her pics and video. Then I can see them to. Mine does the same thing. You just have to have Google photos logged into the same account on both devices. So we each have our personal accounts with all out contacts and email separate. Then I have another account I setup just for pictures and video to be backed up to in Google photos.

FYI for a FaceTime replacement Duo works great on the iPhone.
