maximum number of rollout firmware updates exceeded??

So after growing tired of waiting for my carrier (3 uk) to send out the update I decided to unlock my phone from the network to see if this would get the update. I tried updating va kies first and new firmware was available however kies just froze so I tried using the phone its self to update over WiFi and got the message maximum number of rollout updates exceeded. Try later or use kies.
Why the hell is it so hard to update my s4 ? This is the only problem I have with Samsung. Love their products but support is f****ng awful.
If anyone can shed some light on this I would be very grateful. Cheers in advance

I've got a unbranded Vodafone S4 and I had that message for about 6 days and it was doin' my bloody head in.

I turn my phone off overnight and when turned it back on Sunday morning it picked the update straight up.

All you have to do is be patient and eventually you'll get the update, Btw I can't really tell the difference with the new firmware. The camera is better but that's all I've noticed.

So you're not missing much

If you get that message then your phone is ready for the update. Just plug it into kies an walah!

The Firmware Update option in Kies was greyed out and it wasn't doing anything and saying I had the latest firmware installed.

The only update I got through Kies was to update the Kies software itself.

It's bloody useless software anyway!!!!

Yeah, that message just means Samsung's servers are too overloaded to allow an OTA update. Going through Kies worked fine for me.

I only got my phone on Friday. I checked for an update and one was available so I downloaded it. How can I tell if I have the latest firmware upgrade.

go into settings click the folder more and scroll down to about device click software update and click update that will tell you if your up to date or not

did you downloaded 4.3 update frm OTA? Can you please tell me what is the size of the firmware?

But KIES is so slower then OTA and i think it download more then 1 GB data to upgrade...

Updated it via Kies after getting the same firmware exceeded error. Its about 658MB.

Ya. Its utterly slow. But couldn't wait for the OTA. So downloaded it via KIES. Took me ages(4 hours). Watch a movie or two perhaps while it downloads

But KIES is so slower then OTA and i think it download more then 1 GB data to upgrade...

I also have the same problem... that time I was like PLEASE WORK!!! I NEED TO UPDATE MY PHONE!!! then I use kies to update... who knows when I update... my phone somehow get infected by viruses... which I didn't know that my comp got virus.... And I have to format my phone..... so i learned my lesson not to simply connect my phone to comp via cable.... so... i only want to know that if you get this kind of error, is there any ways to overcome this problem? Cause i can only update my phone via OTA... please help... i really need to update my phone to the latest firmware.... T^T
