Unfortunately most of these people will never know, unless there's a way for anonymous users to very email notifications (I don't think they do).

You would too if you were selling tons of phones on payment plans in a country that doesn't have the same tracking and protections as a place like the U.S. I don't fault them for protecting their assets.

I would also suspect that many of the people who've posted and been merged into this thread bought their phones secondhand, with the original owners not paying off the phone first, and not giving full disclosure about how the phone was obtained on a payment plan. One of the main takeaways from this thread would be caveat emptor -- buyer beware! If you're buying a phone that is not definitely brand new, then do your due diligence and research the phone. Make sure it's legit, paid off, compatible with your network, etc.

Why is my phone locked by security plugin

i bought the phone on loan but for two days now i have not been able to pay it how can i deactivate the security plugin yet am trying to disable it but everything is in vein .Please give me accurate and right procedures tom follow and get my apps working

In your case, pay your bill. That's seems to be the entire reason for the security plugin app, to protect the seller's interest until the phone is paid in full.

Welcome to Android Central! So you've been unable to submit your payments for the phone? Then contact the service that you're leasing the phone from and tell them you're having that problem. They should make sure your payments are getting through.

Why would we help you deactivate a security plugin that's present to make sure you pay off your phone? Surely you're not asking us to help you break the law?:-\
