Messages by Google (text message app) on Moto G Power

When someone sends me a text with a photo, it always defaults me to download it to see it.

Is there a way that that the photo can automatically be downloaded when I view the message?

Unless I missed it, is there a setting on the app?

I think I figured it out.

This only happens when someone with an iPhone sends me a photo.

That's possible , I have to see on mine when I get a text from IPhone user
