Android Central Question

Some time ago I was in the settings for default sms on my Galaxy Tab S6. There was an option that was called delete default settings (I think). I poked it and since then there is no option for default setting for the "sms app". I cannot use the android default app as when you try to poke the set as default it will not accept any press. Does nothing. Other apps work but not like they used to. Pulse is a fine messaging app but it will not send most of my pictures. That is why I am trying to go back to the default android app. I think I might have to reset the whole device.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to Android Central! In what kind of situation do you need the stock Messaging app to appear as default? You could also go to the system settings menu, then tap Menu>Reset All App Preferences. Then the next time you do something that brings up a messaging app, you can select the stock app as your default.
