Missing Text from SMS

Today I noticed something odd. I sent my wife the following text without quotes "10/21 & 10/30" but she received it as "& 10/30", I tried it a second time when she got home, then I cleared my cache through the system restore menu (rebooted with volume up + home + power button) and sent a third time. Same results. I wonder if the issue was with her S5 or my S5? Perhaps I need to reboot her phone and clear the cache?

I wonder if it has more to do with the network than with the devices. Have you asked your carrier about this?
