Mobile Data and WiFi On

If I have wifi and mobile data on at the same time, and im using WiFi, will it use up more battery?

Because the new 4.3 update removed the mobile data toggle on the notification bar and it's annoying going back to settings just to turn mobile data on every time I leave the house.

No the phone will use wifi instead of mobile data... It will only use mobile data once there is no more wifi.
